I am glad to hear other's loved 84 Charing Cross Road as well, it's one of my favorite films. I know Anne Bancroft was best known for The Graduate, but in my mind her best movie was 84 Charing Cross Road.

The reason I thought of this movie with her in it is because a close friend of our family is the man who carved and made the dolls featured in the movie.

Was his name in the credits? I had a friend who played the sax in the film and taught Rob Lowe how to hold and finger a sax for the movie "St. Elmo's Fire" he got paid good money but no mention in the credits.
