I just wanted to tell everyone about Into the Oven, I ordered my Fondant Satin Ice from them and was not only impressed with the price the customer service was great. Thought I would share.

yes yes I agree! I cant believe how good the prices are, the shipping is very reasonable and they deliver sooo fast!
It says it lasts a year if you keep it in its container.
I have ordered from them once and the service was good. I soon need to order some more Satin Ice, but I'm wondering about having it shipped in this hot weather! I don't want a bucket of melted fondant! lol
I just did and it was fine! It was sitting in the garage for awhile before I noticed it had been delivered too!
I was told the self life is like 3 to 6 months, i am not sure, I accidentally ordered the wrong color, oopppss, lol, well i am wondering can you turn ivory fondant into Chocolate fondant by missing melted chocolate into it?
Ok that scares me, I am not sure if that is a great idea, but having limited experience with satin ice (which I LOVE and will never use anything else) I can not say for sure. I would use coco powder instead of melted choclate and at that i would just try it on a little glob to see what happens.
Good luck!
oh yes and back to the other point of this thread. I too was very very impressed with Into the oven and foudn they have the best prices on Satin ice as well. Love them, love it...it's just a big freakin cake love fest over here...lol ![]()
I always order my supplies from there- I can get what I need super fast! They are wonderful!!!
Ok, I am still in the "newness" stage with fondant and am making MMF for now, but if i get more into it I wiil want to order the Satin Ice you all seem to love. My questions is how far does a 10lb bucket seem to go for ya'll?? I realize that the amounts you tell me are guesstimates, but would just like to have a general idea.
Satin Ice is good for at least a year if you keep it wrapped and sealed tightly. I get it by the 20 lb bucket and it lasts forever!

Shelf live of fondant if kept in a airtight container is up to a year. The hot weather doesnt effect it much, just probably should let the container get to room temp before using it.
I dont think you can add chocolate like that to it. I think it will seize. Let me look up a few of my recipes on how to make the chocolate version of fondant and I will let you all know! Especially my sweety cousin Laura that I met on here of all places, that started this thread!!
I just orderd from them for the first time last week and had it sent to my sister's in New York state. It got there fast and the customer service was great! I will for sure order from the again.
ok, i have to add a foot note, i am not sure if the owner is a cc member , but I spoke with her via email yesterday and was told , she is trying to expand her stock and that she will look for items that are not presently listed on her site, if she can find them if you let her now what you are looking for. I am looking for Aresol Food Color spray that is not wiltons , she was really really nice. ![]()
I am highly impressed with them also. This is where my MIL ordered all my stuff from and they went above and beyond to help her as she is not a cake decorator at all. She said they helped her tremendously and if I ever need anything else, that is where she will go back to order from.![]()
I love them as well...do you know that they are also a CC'er? Even better to support another addict!
I started a thread about them some time ago as well because I couldn't believe that I placed an order and it was packed and the shipper was notified by the time I got home from picking up little ones at preschool (so within 2 hours).
Kudos!!! I even got a postcard from them recently. I love to keep checking back and seeing all the new products they get (which seems to be all the time).
