You can make chocolate noodles at home (if you have a pasta machine--which I don't!) boil them and fill them with the filling. Or buy chocolate noodles at the gourmet store I guess. I'd probably do that for a nice dinner I was cooking for guests.

What I do for mine for the family is: Bake my homemade favorite chocolate cake, torte it into three layers, fill it with a ricotta cheese filling with chocolate chips, Grand Marnier and dried cherries. On top before serving, I squeeze out chocolate syrup and vanilla syrup over the top.

It does need to sit in the fridge most of the day, well wrapped so that the flavors can mingle and the cake can soften with the cheese!

It's not really a recipe, per se--just instructions on how I do it!

Hope that helps,
--Knox--

Yeah you know what? I had those for the first time a few days ago at some potluck- someone made a salad with uncooked ramen noodles and some other stuff. I was surprised how yummy it was!
But they still taste best cooked, IMO. Gosh I should really have written a cookbook by now, 1001 things to do with Ramen noodles- we DID get pretty creative as starving university students icon_lol.gif

Speaking of those noodles I made them tonight with my supper. It's called Asian beef noodles. It's easy and good. Just hamburger, noodles, seasonings, broccoli(sp)(other veg if you like), onion.

Oh GOD BLESS the inventor of crock pots thumbs_up.gif I don't have mine anymore because my twin sis and I were living together and splitting who got what when she moved so she got it icon_rolleyes.gif I think that was a dumb idea. But then I got the cast iron dutch oven, so it's all good icon_cool.gif

Bad idea? having a Boost chocolate meal replacement shake an hour before dinner icon_lol.gif ( spent the afternoon running around getting cake ingredients and raiding the hobby store - 75% off everything clearing out - SIX DOLLARS FOR Wilton cake dividing set icon_redface.gif (and a LOAD of tips LOL) so I grabbed a Boost from the fridge to keep me going and then I got home and tried digging into Ethiopian leftovers (no jokes please LMAO) and UGH I had 2 bites and was stuffed icon_cry.gif
