Happy Mother's Day all!

I got a KA Artisan, a new set of measuring cups, and a gift certificate to a spa. Also, one thing I'm a little unsure of right now...two little pink lines on a pregnancy test! UGH! I took another one and it was negative, so we will see! We already have two girls and really don't want anymore kids, but whatever will be will be!

I just wanted to tell everyone Happy Mothers Day. My children are all grown up but I have 9 grandchildren so I still have alot of joy with kids. Love them, hold them they grow up so fast you will turn around and they will be grown. My DH got me a beautiful ring he tells me I am his mother now, have a great day. To xandra83 when we were young there were many times we didn't have much money my DH didn't think it was important to even make a card, your day will come it does get better. God Bless to all on your day.

My oldest child is 27 years old, and I have 3 others under her, the youngest being 19. It was nice to hear about what everybody wanted and got for Mother's Day. It brought back memories of the kids making me their cards, the hubby taking them away so I could spend the day alone, and the noise of a busy house. Anyway...enough of my rambling.

My oldest son bought me a splatterguard for the KA he bought me for Xmas...I was making some big messes icon_smile.gif My DH bought me some silk sheets (I taught him YEARS ago, I may not be your mother but I pushed your big headed kids out!) J/K about the big heads. My DD bought me a gift card from Michaels, the middle DD sent me an e-card (something went wrong with that lesson), and my youngest is working so I need to wait to see IF he learned his lessons well. And last but not least, my DGD's told me Happy Nana's Day, I love you with all my heart and my hugs!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EVERYONE!

Hopeyou all have a great day whatever you're doing!

Why is that always opening fishing in MN? icon_lol.gif My parents live there and I never could figure it out.

My husband got me a griddle and made me breakfast on it. Today's my birthday to so I got unmentionables too.
My oldest made me a mail holder out of popsicle sticks at school, he's in the first grade.
The best thing I got today was from my in-laws, a service for 4 of Lenox china. The husband is groaning about filling it out icon_lol.gif What a wonderful birthday present.

Well I also got nothing. DH is working and the alarm went off at 4 am and it woke me up then I tossed and turned the rest of the morning. My youngest who is turning 17 tomorrow went shopping the other day and spent $40 on herself and then said that she forgot mothers day was sunday and I would have to wait until she gets paid to get me anything. My oldest is 19 and she moved out 6 months ago because she wanted to be on her own hasn't even called me yet. well i guess it just another day for me. My birthday is on the 22 and I'm sure it will be the same thing on that day. oh well I guess I can't be bitter.

I got handprints in a card from my two kids and a beautiful diamond necklace from my DH. You know the ones that are really popular right now that are an open circle? I really like them a lot and was so excited to see that they were a popular Mother's Day gift, so I left my DH a pile of ads with them circled and he actually got the message! I was so excited. icon_smile.gif It's the first time since we've had kids that I have gotten a "Real" gift. icon_smile.gif

I love reading all the kitchen gadgets people got....you know, some women would take offense at a mother's day gift "for the kitchen"...not us cake girls! haha...

My husband got me a really nice KA food processor.... I didn't want him to spend so much but he got me a tiny one at Christmas that didn't do much (I burned it up chopping nuts one day) so he got me a good one this time. icon_smile.gif

My 12 year old son made me a cake, and decorated it by himself! (With flowers that I did in advance and had left over). I got cards, a new digital camera (mine died and I begged for a new one!), homemade gifts, breakfast in bed, and a day with dh taking care of the kids! My kids are son-12, son-11, twin daughters -8. The other kids helped with ideas on how to decorate the cake, but the 12 year old did it all! He even baked it....butter recipe fudge with vanilla icing. It's cute!
I will try to post the pic, but I am new to this so we'll see if it works! It's entered in the contest too.

What a fun topic!
I got cards from hubby and my girls and breakfast in bed. DH and the girls made me a t-shirt that says, "World's Greatest Mom" and has their handprints on it and he also ironed on patches of a ladybug and butterfly that symbolize both girls. (We call one a doodlebug and the other a butterfly.) Hubby actually stenciled the words himself, too! He also gave me jammies and chocolates and took the girls grocery shopping so I could have some time alone and when he comes back he's going to make dinner (and clean up)! LOL I had really wanted to go out to dinner but the more I sat around on the couch the more I liked it! icon_wink.gif

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

Today has been great for me. My 3 daughters each made me a card that contained words to songs they wrote for me. They delivered all 3 in harmony at 6:09 this morning! It was great. I also received two portraits of myself as well as a family protrait painted by the girls. DH gave me a DVD burner (yeah!) that I had been hinting about and some computer parts I've been looking at. After church, I was taken to my favorite restaurant for a very nice dinner with my family. I am happy to say that I have not been in my kitchen once today, nor have I held a broom, a mop, or a dust cloth! I am having a wonderful day and plan on doing nothing for the rest of it! icon_razz.gif

God Bless

My oldest (icon_cool.gif made me a cup of tea, and both gave me homemade cards. My hubby gave me a puzzle book (we are broke) and a kiss. He also made dinner tonight. A very nice mothers day indeed.

My DH kept our DD (22 months) busy in the living room so I could lounge in bed until 7:30 and then he made me a crab & spinach stuffed omelet with hollandaise sauce and strawberry crepes. My DD gave me a balloon and a card (DH helped). Then he took her on errands and I got 3 hours of quiet sewing time to myself. What bliss. She is napping now, so I am off to do some more sewing. My Mom's Day gift from DH was having my KA serviced.

My kids made me cards at the neighbor's house - today the kids stayed with Grandpa so my husband and I could go to church alone - almost a date!!! Then i got some errands done - alone icon_smile.gif and my hubby made barbeque and roasted corn. I have had to work on a cake most of the day too - but it's for the teachers at my daughter's school, so I can't begrudge that. Happy Mother's Day all!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I got my present from DH last week, Sirius radio. Now I get to listen to the 80's whenever I want. icon_lol.gif My kids(son is 7, daughter's 4) wanted to get me a coffee cup with their picture on it, but the little store in the mall that does it closed down, so DH told me to go look in the jewelry store. Well, you don't have to tell me twice!! I found a really pretty garnet ring that I love. DH got it for the kids to give to me. Oh, and my DD made me the cutest frame covered in puzzle pieces, it's framing her handprint and a sweet saying. My son said I get what he made in school on Monday, the glue wasn't dried enough for him to bring it home Friday.

Oh, and the absolute best part of my present from DH, is he's going with me to see Rick Springfield in concert next weekend. Yes, I'm a total geek, but I'm very excited about going to see my teenage crush in person. party.gifparty.gifparty.gif

Happy Mother's Day all

I loved reading what everyone got for mother's day.

I got to sleep in late, 9:30, my 7 y/o DD made me breakfast of fried sausage, scrambled eggs, and toast, all by herself...with daddy's supervision of course.
Then she and my 3 y/o DD set the table and served everyone. Very nice.

After breakfast they presented me with my gifts, a diamond circle pendant that i've been wanting, a petunia topped pen that my DD made in school, and greeting cards.

I even got 15 mins of the kids not screaming at each other...LOL.

We then went to my parent's house for Mother's Day dinner.

Glad that everyone had a great day. I know I sure did.

My DH told me Happy Mother's Day, My daughter-in-law came over and spent maost of the day with me (son had to work), my mom called me and told me she had a message from my daughter (who is handicapped) to say thanks for all you do for me, which always makes me cry. My mother-in-law sent me a card and some bubble wrap to pop and they gave us a car a while back, but she decided she couldn't just give it to us, so in the card she siad the 4 tires are for mothers day (my hubby thinks he will get the engine for his birthday in a week or so) icon_lol.gif My son and I are going out to eat today. My tipical mothers day, birhtday etc.

Well, my mother's day was celebrated last week...my boyfriend, his kids and my son gave me an under the counter TV...flat screen, and folds away when not in use...wonderful! More counter space for me now! Then at work on Thursday, I was delivered roses and the cutest stuffed dog...again from all of them! My son at preschool made me a beautiful glass vase with a paper flower in it, and he was so proud of it! Of everything that was the best.

I unfortunately had to work graduation/commencement at the college I work at yesterday, so needless to say, I was tired when I got home. My ex had my son all weekend, and needless to say when he got home last night he was wound up and a handful (course my ex said he was a perfect angel for him the whole weekend)!! Course his dad (my ex) said, I forgot your card and all...I'll get it to you in the next day or so! Whatever! Last year he didn't even acknowledge Mother's Day for me or his own mother! He did have my little boy call me yesterday morning...he said (my son--he's 5), "I'm suppose to call you and tell you Happy Mother's Day!" That was from the heart! hee hee!

My boyfriend and kids treated me like a queen prior to the actual day, but hey, I'll take that! Wish I hadn't had to work all day, but that's life!

So the big day is over, but remember ladies...regardless of the day or month...our kids love us regardless, and we wouldn't trade them for the world!

Well my morning started out w/my newly turned 1yr old crying in my ear. My poor hubby had stepped out I assume to get my Flowers! I got Red Roses. We are pretty low in money but he did this. I told him I at least wanted a card from my boys to have for scrapbook and memories. SO that he did and a great cute one too. My mom being in town we usually for Mothers Day do Card exchange and then do Lunch. We went to a popular place called Los Cucos, its Mexican and it was sooooooooo Good. Thou its like working a 2 Ring Circus and eating w/our 2 boys. So my gift is having my sons and my hubby that helps so much more even after 12hrs at work. I told him thou I really liked the flowers and that it be nice to get flowers "EVERY WEEK" just to brighten the house up even if cheap ones at that!... Well ......Happy Belated Moms day everyone! thumbs_up.gif
