I love seeing everyone's kitties!
Been on catster yet to show them all off?
I made a page for my orange tabby, Max:

I must say, this group has a bunch of darned good looking cats!
They're all so beautiful. I've always had a soft spot for apple cheek Siamese and Abbys. I learned years ago from a woman that I worked with that Pandora is a calico just by virtue of that third color in her fur (she's basically all grey and white except for one of her haunches which is orange tabby. She also has a little tiny circle of dark orange between her shoulder blades. DH and I have always joked that that spot is where the key goes to wind her up!) Apparently due to some genetic reason, only females are calico is what my former coworker told me.
Keep posting kitty photos!
He's fixing to run from me.
I just have to say that I love "southerner speak"!!! "He's fixing" ... that is so cute! I am a sucker for Southern accents and drawl.
P.S. - I love all the pictures of kitties that have been added since I last checked this thread!
I have laughed so hard about this ![]()

You know you really dont know you have an accent until someone points it out.
I heard myself talking when I reread it. ![]()

I feel the same way. It's funny I always try hard not to type my accent.
Well I need to go in yonder because I'm fixing to make a birthday cake. ![]()

Here is my Baby Boy, we love him so much his name is Manolo and his 14 years old, he has arthritis but other than that he's in perfect shape. He loves to sleep in our bed and loves cold water with ice everyday.

Aimeestrange your cat snowy looks just like my very first cat that I ever had! Except my cat had two bald stripes going from the corners of her eyes up to the beginning of her ears ... You could really see her white scalp .. She was one of the best cats I ever had ... she was 15 years old when she got sick from a broken heart after her 14 year old sister passed from cancer and I still miss her and her sister very very much ...
That is so true, in fact I don't know you but I get my cat every treat that the pet store sells.
You know, it's so weird, Tig won't really eat cat treats. Tuna, yah, no problem, but he could take or leave the treats! So, yes, he occasionally gets a little tuna. Oh, and my husband is notorious for giving the cat his 'leftover' cereal milk after he eats the cereal!
Yah, spoiled rotten!
My sweet departed Miss Kitty used to crack me up... we used to call her 'bunny' sometimes because her long white and black hair was silky like a bunny rabbit, and she actually liked to eat... lettuce!!! If I was making a salad and dropped a piece of lettuce, she would pounce on it and chow down!! It was hilarious! So un-catlike!! I miss her a lot, she was my princess.
Edited to add the 'r' at the end of the word 'her' so you'd know what the heck I was trying to say, hahahah!
My kitties are odd. I love them all, but they have their own independant streak- not wanting to give love except when they want something LOL. Well save for scooter she's a momma girl.
I think one other person had also said that little snowy looks like one of their cats they used to have. ((((Hugs))))) I know I'll be heartbroken the day I lose one of my furbabies!
But here's the story of Snowy. At our old apartment we used to feed the neighborhood strays. One day this dainty girl came walking up to the DH meowing. She was a newbie, we'd never seen her before. So he brought her in from the snow, and asked me what to do with her. Of course when ya bring it in, there's no putting it back out!!!
Of course she ran amuck exploring that day, and certainly kept me on my toes!
All our furbabies are rescues, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Matter of fact, we keep saying no more kitties....then some poor little soul needs us!
Funny! Squeaky won't touch cat treats or tuna, but she comes running if she hears someone pour cereal. She expects to get the last bit of anyone's cereal milk or ice cream.
Now, Mac & Cheese are a different story, they chewed a hole in the foil pack of cat treats and scattered them all over the kitchen!
Mac and Cheese too darn cute!
My parents used to have a little female named Dutchess. If you left twinkies on the counter, she'd open the pack, somehow cut them down the middle, and lick out the filling.
Now her sons on the other hand, Patches and Shadow, would get into the gigantic lays bag of chips. You'd hear *crunch, crunch, crunch* and see two tails sticking out!
He loves to sleep in our bed and loves cold water with ice everyday.
My cat sleeps with me every night. I love him sleeping with me. I can not goto sleep if hes not in there. He sleeps on my chest. He falls asleep there. I love the way we "bond" or "cuddle".
Max also drinks HOT water. Hot as in hot bath water. He loves hot water so hes the oppoisite of you adorable kitty
When I take a bath, hes right there licking me & wanting me to hold up my hand with hot water in it. I stop when I start using soap cause he will puke
I tell him," Max buddy, you can not have soapy water".
These cats are spoiled & I love it. Thank you all who have shared stories & BEAUTIFUL pics. ![]()

Funny, Gilbert like hot bath water also, he dips his paw in the tub when I'm in there and licks the water off his paw. He use to just drink right out of the tub but he has fallen in the tub too many times, LOL. Also he waits in the bathroom in the mornings when my husband is in the shower and as soon as he turns the water off and steps out Gilbert runs in the shower to drink the water from the floor.
My mom's kitty loved drinking water out of the faucet. She would either sit on the edge and carefully put her paws into the basin so they wouldn't get wet adn she would slurp from the stream of water coming out, or she cup her paw and dip it into the stream of water.
Hahaha!! Miss Kitty used to sit on my chest when I was taking a leisurely bath and paw at the water. It was so cute. Sometimes she'd drink it, too! It's so funny to think about some of the similarities between our loving little babies! We're all related on some level I suppose! ![]()

Wonder if most cats are the same? ![]()
I used to have several cats when I lived in Indiana that would sit around the big bath tub my son used to take bubble baths in and bat at the bubbles. One time we had run out of bubble stuff so my son just chose to play in the clear water. He had his toys on the bottom of the tub and it fooled our cat Figaro. Figaro didn't realize there was water in the tub and dove in after the toys. Keep in mind, my poor son was sitting in the tub at the time. LOL, Figaro jumped out quick, fast, and in a hurry. My son and I laughed so hard that we both cried. Poor little Figaro. Now my sons cat, Patches, will meow and beg me to turn the bathtub faucet on so that it drips. She loves to drink it and play in the little puddles that it makes.

That story was funny. ![]()
Max meows when he wants me to turn on the water in the bath tub. Max is not a vocal cat, so I know he loves water because he "asked" for it. (there I go again with my southern draw
)
