Seeking Suggestions For Completing This Cake... (New Photo!)

The parties tomorrow so I've some time to play with this a little. What can I do to make it look better? The little guy looking out the window looks a little odd. Also, not sure I like all the white. Tomorrow I'm placing a toothpick flag on the moon. I think that will look pretty cool. 
Anyway, I'm open to suggestions of any kind.

first of all...AWESOME!! anyway, i know there are stars on your paper, but maybe some cut out with yellow fondant would really look cool. Just a few. I think all the white looks cool, but you could right NASA, or USA or even the childs name. (If its a child )

Really cute!! I think a few stars couldn't hurt and I also agree with the others-a liitle writting on the ship would be nice; maybe usa or the pesons name as a "ship title" down the side would be cute.
Exactly what I was looking for! So many great ideas. Keep 'em comming!!! I do plan on writing my son's name along the side and his age. I agree about adding some color to the little face, just haven't decided how to do it yet.
Like the idea of adding some astroides or even a comet, but I don't really know if anyone would know what they were... maybe it wouldn't be hard to figure out, but I'm not even sure how to make a comet!
One more thing... can you tell I used foil on the rhombus shaped portions of the rocket? If so, is that a bad thing? I cut some foam core and covered it in foil. I wanted to make this cake 100% edible, but this was sooo much easier! I folded the pieces over and considered carefully how it was inserted into the cake to prevent any foil from coming lose in the cake. 
That cake is WAY COOL! It is a masterpiece. Love it! Okay I got that out of the way! LOL.
If you want to add more, I think you should out line some of the stars on the board with royal icing or color flow or something like that. The happy birthday on one side and for the other side, you can put USA. That cake is AWESOME! Did you airbrush the moon? Cool!-Josie
Here's an updated photo. Still don't have the little American Flag in place on the moon, but took a few of your suggestions and like the improvements!! 
So, any more suggestions?? I'm still open to new ideas.
My husband thinks I should put a foil colored dome on the top of the spaceship... not sure about that! What do you think.
To be honest, I wouldn't change a thing! The changes you DID make are perfect. His little face has some color, the name on the ship looks great, and the yellow stars really set off the board. You did such an amazing job on this cake!
That is such a neat cake! Your additions look great! The flag on the moon will add even more. A clear bubble (I'm thinking like a baby bottle cover) would make a neat dome over the face but it is great the way it is.
P.S. The writing (font) is perfect for the spaceship - love it!
The little changes made all the difference. It looks fabulous! Great job!

You did such a great job on this cake. I love it just the way it is. I think the addition of the stars is just perfect, wouldn't change a thing!!!! Your son is going to love this... I especially love the moon with the craters. You did GREAT!!!!!
