Well, I'm starting a new exercise program again for myself.
I decided that I need to concentrate on my core again to get my stomach flatter. So I went on the internet, google searched, and found 22 stomach exercises that I can do. Some of them I already knew about, but I the majority of them I didn't know about. So I put them all into a word document for me to reference. I then created a schedule for this week with each day doing 3 of the exercises. I'm still working on my core, but each one is still different so I'm still targeting different core muscles. I'm still coupling it with cardio though to help burn the fat away.
I'm proud to say that I'm starting to see the results in inches already. I haven't been to the gym yet this week because my son doesn't have tae kwon do classes this week, so I've been doing everything at home to save gas $$.
It's nice to have my exercise schedule down on paper for me to follow, I write on it the number of reps that I have done with each exercise outlined on the paper.
PM me if you would like a copy of the document that I put together, all but one of them includes instructions and most of them include pictures. The one that doesn't include instructions is just 2 pictures that I found on a site that involves using an exercise ball, I'm sure anyone can figure it out. The Lounge doesn't allow Word docs as attachments. ![]()
Brandi - that's awesome! You are so brave to be doing it on YouTube. That will definitely motivate you, though! You are going to be so strong by the time you get the hang of it.
Stalkers????? Oh my gosh! That's scary. Is it safe to be doing You Tube (I guess I don't know a whole lot about it ... does it keep you totally anonymous?)
m0use - Congrats on your success! You should be proud of yourself - you've worked pretty hard to get where you are now. I'd love a copy of your exercises. I'll PM you with my email address. I need variety and to shake things up a bit so hopefully, that will help. I'm excited because my sister-in-law just joined the same gym we go to (24 Hr. Fitness) and she and I are going to start meeting up for the classes. Our gym has the kids club so the kids will all get to play while we work out. Perfect! I so need somebody to expect me to show up so I can't flake out.

Well, I've been inspired by so many others who are posting their videos on YouTube, that I figured maybe I could be inspiration to someone as well... there's such a stigma about it. I told some of my friends about it, and they ALL just rolled their eyes - like it was something DIRTY! I don't need a $345 pole in my bedroom to get dirty if that's what I wanted - and I surely don't need to pull muscles and bruise my thighs (as I've already done). It's pretty humiliating to have to explain that it REALLY IS for exercise (that dirty stuff is just a bonus. LOL!).
And sadly, yes I have (online) stalkers... people are CRAZY! And Google is my enemy - leads 'em right to me every time! LOL! My videos aren't going to have my name in them - so it's pretty anonymous - I even picked a whole new moniker for my YouTube channel. With the hundreds of thousands of videos on there, they'd be hunting a long time to find mine.
You know, I have a friend who opened a pilates studio about a year ago and when she was in the plan / design stages, I told her about the Oprah show I saw and how I thought it would be cool for her to incorporate striptease classes into her offerings as not many places in the area were doing it. She totally almost laughed in my face at the thought. Granted, pilates is a very specific discipline and I can see how she'd not want to cross over into anything else but still - I don't think it's all that ridiculous. And I really don't think there's anything "dirty" about it. It's a workout routine with lasting benefits beyond amazing muscle tone and coordination. I wish I had the coordination (and courage) to strut around like an exotic dancer sometimes. Knowing me, I'd fall flat on my face when trying to do something sexy, though. But to have that self confidence and a solid enough body image to strut like that would be amazing. Don't worry what anyone thinks - you're going to be so glad you did this!!!
m0use
I just pmed you my address. Thanks this may help me over my slump too.
Brandi, do keep us informed of how it works for you, I am interested.
Got your PM's guys...I will try to email you as soon as I can...all of the sudden our landlords want us out by the end of July and so now this means I may not be able to go see my dad ![]()
So either we buy this house for really cheap or we move into an apartment and I have 2 WEEKS before we were supposed to leave to drive down to see my dad...
BUT I was happy to see my weight back under 145 this am, 144.8 lbs, so as long as I work out EVERY day for a little bit I know I can get down to 140 soon.
If my stomach is flat enough to my liking I am going to get my belly button pierced (after the end of July so my dad doesn't see it yet) as a reward for getting to 140 lbs. Otherwise maybe I will treat myself to a day at the spa instead and have a bodywrap done.

Be careful if you get your navel pierced... I had mine done and made the mistake of wearing a pair of "mom jeans". When I went to get out of the car, they caught on my piercing and RIPPED it out (it was a very large ball on each end, and it pulled that large ball through the little opening - very much like childbirth and equally as painful). Nobody told me I should only be wearing low-rise jeans... lol.
I've also had my nose pierced - but my body rejected it. *sigh*
Hey mouse!! I got mine navel pierced 4 years ago the first time I lost all my weight, I love it!! I had to take it out when I became pregnant with my DD and gained all my weight back and then some, but I put it back in a few weeks ago after some weight loss this time. Now for a reward when I loose all my weight this time, I'm going to get a tattoo on my back. I can't wait! I have the chinese symbol for peace on my ankle and right above it I'm getting the symbol for strength for everything that I have been through. I'm so sorry what your having to go through mouse. I hope things get better soon! I have you in my thoughts and prayers.
Yep Brandi girl,
you better wear them low rise with the belly rings!! I usually keep a barbell in mine so it doesn't catch on clothes as much.
Woo hoo for me!
I signed my boys up for swimming lessons. My oldest is 4 and my youngest is almost 3. They didn't take lessons at an earlier age because my hubby swims / plays water polo and he kept saying he could teach them but his free time is so sporadic I finally figured out that I needed to get them signed up. NOW, I was tempted to just sign up my oldest son and to hold off a few months on Colin simply because he won't be 3 until September and before 3, kids have to do parent and me classes. How sad is that? Because I didn't want to put on a swimsuit in public I was going to have him just watch big brother and spend my time chasing him around the pool deck rather than letting him do it, too. BUT, I didn't do that. I sucked it up, bought a good pair of board shorts to wear over my suit, and I GOT IN THE POOL WITH HIM. Granted, he hated it and clung to my neck the whole time (he's used to swimming with his floaties and swimming lessons don't use floaties so he didn't like it). But, we're going again tomorrow, and then the next day and I do think he'll get over it and start having fun. I'm so glad that I got over myself and did this.

Good for you!!! Bathing suits are my nemesis - and my super powers are too weak against them. ![]()
m0use, when ever your life has calmed down, we are the least of your worries at this time! I dont have the nerve to pierce my belly, I think I want another tatoo!
Carol, great job on getting in the pool. You and your son will have a good time. I use board shorts over my one piece all the time.
Well, hello Ladies! I'm back. Vacation is over, our big Birthday party is over so everything is back to normal now and I can get back into my old routine. I've missed Cakecentral so much! A week and a half is too long to be away, I was having with drawl!!
I really need to check in with you all. I stepped on the scale this morning and just had to say, "What the F#*$?". I'm up to 177.1 lbs.!!!! WOW, what a shock. I admit I've been eating some things I shouldn't have but thought I was doing it in moderation and I have been working out.
So after a light breakfast this morning I put my work out clothes on and did my 4 mile work out DVD. I am going to have to do it every other day and do my 3 mile the other days until I get this back under control. How depressing!!! Vacation and Birthday parties make it SOOO hard to eat healthy.
I'm so upset because I am terrified of gaining the weight back that I lost!!! I'm slowly creeping back up there despite my fear. What is wrong with me?????
I'm so dissapointed in myself. I wish I didn't love cake so much!!! ![]()
Anna
awwww man, i stopped getting the notification emails! i was wondering if anyone was posting. i haven't had a chance to catch up yet, but i will. i see some names i haven't seen before. i have been crazy busy, and now sick with a sinus infection.
i weighed myself last week and almost fell over when the scale said 107!!! but i gained a few pounds back because of all the bbqs. so now i'm at 111. it's okay, i'm just glad to be less than my target!
i started playing tennis once a week with my sister. i haven't played since high school (over 10 years ago!), and suck more than suck, but we're having a lot of fun!
i hope to be back soon to catch up!
hope everyone is well!
m0use - how is the house negotiating going? Good luck - I hope it all works in your favor and that you get to still make your trip to visit your dad!
I have lost 16 lbs. so far. Only 54 more to go! ![]()
At least I finally feel that I am on track now.
I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th!
Anna - welcome back! Vacations tend to have that effect on the scale . . . sucks, but as long as you get right back in the swing of things, don't beat yourself up over it. You had a great time, right? Everyone's entitled to let loose once in a while.
Jescapades - congrats on passing your goal! That's awesome. You must feel so good about yourself!
flava - 16 pounds is a lot of weight. You're almost 25% of the way there!
You guys are so inspiring. My journey has been baby steps all along the way, coupled with a whole lot of falling flat on my a$$ but I'm still dedicated and determined.
Aaaww, thanks CK! I never thought of it that way. What is your goal? By your picture, you don't look like you need to lose any! Thanks for the encouragement!!

that's a totally sweet thing to say . . . but there's a good reason I only used a head shot for my avatar. I need to lose about 40 pounds. I really need to find that motivating factor that will kick me in the pants to get going.
You can do it! Just don't give up, even if you have to start over a million times like me, don't give up. Listen to me, I'm talking like I'm done.
I'm far from it, but even in the last month and a half I've wanted to give up a hundred times!
Hi everyone
Well, I havent posted in a few days, things have been hectic.
I had my next 3 month apt with my dr, and since I havent been able to get my blood pressure down in 6 months I have been put on meds. I was expecting it so no suprise there. I am just glad that I have been able to keep off of the diabetes meds. That scares me more!
Been working out every morning but a bit lax on my eating, will have to work on that!
Karate - sorry to hear about the medical issues but I'm so glad to hear you haven't needed diabetes medications. I hope you can get your BP under control. You know, working out every morning is a huge accomplishment. That's the hardest thing for me to do.
Flava - you are down 16 pounds - you have the right to give your words of wisdom to us flailers who take one step forward, and two donuts (I mean steps) back. Keep it up - I need to hear it!
Oh dear... I've finally found something that's motivating me. That little "ticker" in my signature line.
There's a certain embarrassment just in having there - and everyone seeing that I need to drop 40 lb. And it's a thrill to weigh myself each morning and realize I get to change that number! I am motivated to drop it all and remove the darned thing. LOL!
BTW, STILL waiting on my pole dancing DVD - that's what I get for ordering it off of half.com and not reading the sellers' feedback first (one of those mega-sellers that ships a month after you pay). *sigh* I'm going to order a different one on Friday and see which one gets here first.

Mmm, now I want a donut. ![]()
Hey ya'll!! Just want to let you know I won't be here for a few days! Going to spend some time with my parents at their house. I've been wanting to do that before the kids started school again. Will so miss CC!!!! I'll be thinking of everyone here, helping motivate me to stay on track!! I stepped on the scale this morning and it was 175.2 so have lost about 2 lbs this week! I've done 14 miles so far, not sure if I will get a work out in today. I'm taking my workout DVD's with me to my Mom's, she will do them with me. She's been doing to same Leslie Sansone ones to and loves them to! So getting my workouts in shouldn't be a problem. Wish me luck that when I get back on Wednesday I will be in the 173's!
We have DH's Grandma's 85th Birthday party on Sunday so have a big cake to do today. Was up till 11:00 last night doing another one. Have much packing yet to do so better get busy!!
HOpe ya'll have a good week eating right and working out! ![]()
Anna
Down 5 lb. since Monday... shame is an amazing motivator. And I haven't increased my exercise routine at all (still no video... grrrrrrr), and I've eaten all the wrong foods (Cheetos, Fritos, ham sandwiches, Jumbo Jacks)... I've just been limiting the crap to once a day and eating really low cal things (sugar free pudding cups, etc.) the rest of the day. I've noticed that I'm getting full pretty quick now - I couldn't even finish my hamburger last night (that was a first!).
Next week I'm going to do the Isagenix program again (I didn't get past the first 24 hours last time - the "cleansing" part in the beginning is a killer).
Congrats to flavacakes and Anna31! Each pound lost is a victory. Every five, a milestone. Every 10, a MIRACLE! LOL!
Thanks Ladies! Finally got the cakes done now I need to finish packing! Yike!!! So much to do, so little time and what am I doing? I'm on Cake Central!!!!! ![]()

Anna
By the way, a BIG CONGRATS to Jesse!!! WHOOHOOO!!!!!!! You are doing awesome girl!!!!!
You should be so proud of yourself! You have inspired me to keep at it this week while at my Mom and Dad's. It's going to be hard, just like on vacation! Wish me luck!
Anna
Thanks Brandi, and hey, 5 pounds the first week is awesome!!
Have a nice time with your parents Anna!!
