well, since i've been away things have definitely changed. i like this new area. icon_lol.gif...anyway, i just want to shout, "MY HUBBY IS COMING HOME FRIDAY!!!" icon_lol.gif he's a military police and has been in iraq since august. i can't wait!!!! usaribbon.gifparty.gifbirthday.gif

Wonderful!!! icon_lol.gif So happy for you both!! How long has he been in Iraq? Guessing maybe a year? We have a close friend who left for Iraq in August and won't be back until he's served at least a year, maybe longer.

YEAH I'm so glad that he is coming home and he's safe and sound!!
My brother spent a yr in Iraq as well, I know how hard that was I can't imagine my hubby - Thank you for what you and him BOTH sacrifice!!

yes, we are most definitely going to celebrate. we are going on vacation to elba island. that's a small island in italy. napoleon bonaparte lived there, and his house is still there today. it has a lot of history and beautiful beaches!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

My nephew-in-law just came home from his second tour in Iraq. Hopefully, he won't have to do anymore...I think two years is enough.

They had to wait a week to give each other a proper welcome home icon_lol.gif ...his mother and family was there a whole week...messed up their fun icon_wink.gif

I've never posted on this forum but your topic caught my attention. My son is an Air Force vet and my son-in-law is a Marine vet both home safe now from over there. I'm so happy for you and your DH and hope that his adjustment back home will be quick. Please thank him for me for keeping those of us here at home safe!
