so im finally going to post my pic sorry for the extreme close up but I had to take the picture myslef due to my husband still being in shock from me comming home from the salon with 10 inches less hair then I left with. I have always had really long hair and I will sometimes go and get it cut a few inches below my shoulders if i feel the need for a change but thats as far as I ever go but today I felt like cutting it off and we did the 10inches so we could send it to locks of love. I think its cute I was always affraid to cut it because I did not think it would look good on my chubby face but hey what difference does it make when its long its always in a pony anyway.
Heather ~ that's a cute style. It looks good!! I did the 10" plunge too. It made such a drastic difference but I sure am glad I did it
yeah this really is a drastic difference but I really do like it my head feels so light!! 
im so used to having my hair in a pony tail and I think my sylist intentionaly cut it so its to short to put up to force me to fix it every day gotta love her. the good thing at this length is that because I have naturally curly hair I can just scrunch it a little in the morning and it will be curly all day no fuss.
I used to wear ponytails all the time but I really like being able to dry my hair in a couple of minutes. It's so easy to manage.
heather and Steady ... I also did the 10" plunge about a year ago, and donated my ponytail to Locks of Love. I got stuck with a mean stylist, so as she began to cut my ponytail, I really had doubts. 
I was in shock after it was all off. BUT ... after I left the salon, I looked at my ponytail in the bag and thought about how it was *just* hair, and it would grow back, and it would be helping a little girl who didn't have any hair. And I felt better. I'm very glad that I did it!
cakes by jess I feel the same way and even though my DH is still giving me a hard time about it I like my hair I cant wait to wash it out and style it tommrow.
heather ... did you just get it cut today?? I think your new style looks very nice! Your hair is longer now than mine is a year after getting it all cut off!!! My hair was SOOO short when I got it cut ... she even had to use clippers on the back!!! 
YIKES!! I'm happy with the length now, but I definitely didn't like it at first!!!
yeah I just got it cut today my hair was reall really long so I didnt have to go to terriable short to be able to donate but still quite a bit shorter than Ive ever had it before.

OK ... I must be going insane, because I could swear that I responded to this. 
Anyway ... I held onto my ponytail for a good 6 months after I had it cut off. I was torn between donating it to Locks of Love and Pantene's Beautiful Lengths (makes wigs for women who lost their hair while undergoing chemotherapy). Since I have such a soft spot for kids, I ended up donating it to Locks of Love. Next time, it will be Beautiful Lengths.
for me it was locks of love no contest not that I dont have a soft spot for women and what they go through with cancer believe me I do but I just think life can be so cruel to little kids without them having to loose there hair on top of it adults I would hope would never make fun of a women who lost her hair but kids can just be mean you know.
