I have spent the last week working on my first competition cake (Novelty wedding cake) and I just found out it won first prize. It was my first 3 tier cake and first wedding cake.

I am sooooo thrilled and just needed to share with cake people who would understand my happiness!!!! I have struggled with the humidity all week and even covering the cakes was a major so thank you to all that have help with advice and guidance!

LOL yes Barbara my big pay cheque is a massive $8 not exactly life changing he he he but I found out today that Bakels who make our fondant here in New Zealand sponsored the competition so I will get product as well. Got love that!!! oooooooh and don't forget my ribbon icon_razz.gif

Kathryn I am so happy and excited for you! Oh, just looked at the picture, it is so sweet. I know all you little chickies are probably too young to remember this, but there was a newspaper comic or cartoon drawings by an artist named Kim, called "Love Is" in the 1970s with a drawing of a little guy and a little girl who are in love and the drawing may say something like "Love Is, helping her change the baby" or something kind of cheesy but cute. Anyway your bridal couple remind me of those characters.

LOL Shirley, I cant see you picture so I googled them I remember these two! I laugh because I only just noticed they are naked. In this PC world we live in now I dont think they would be allowed!!! Too cute
