I just felt like sharing this with you all. Sunday night I was at church and my aunt came in to tell us that my dads sister had been found dead. I am 27 yrs old, with 2 chilren, just turned 3 and 5. We just found out last night that she was not only shot 4 times but was gutted as well. Her boyfriend was cut all to pieces and shot 2 times. He is in critical condition, they had to do complete reconstructive surgery on his face we were told. My aunt was 56 and her boyfriend is 37. They say that there was no way that this was a murder suicide case, and that they have no motive for this. They have said that she was caught off guard, and took on of my closest cousins and her boyfriend and his cousin in for questioning. They have all been released. We live in a very small town, and she comes from a large family of 9 brothers and sisters in total, counting her. Please help us pray that we can find out the truth and who did this. My cousin is 28 in a couple of weeks, we have over the last few years we have grown distant as she went for the drugs and I decided to turn my life over to the Lord. There's a whole lot of clues that aren't adding up and my aunts daughter is an only child and lost her dad a few years ago. She said she thinks she can deal with it if she knows the truth. This is like a scary movie come to our family. Please help us pray that we'll know the truth soon. It's like a double tragedy if we found out that my cousin was involved. She has an 8 yr old little girl. Thanks for your prayers.

WOW, so sorry to read of this. I will pray for you and your family during this time. I just received call from a close friend this morning asking me to pray for her family as her aunt just died last night. Her aunt died from cancer though so it isn't as confusing and upseting I imagine as what your family must be experiencing.

Thanks so much. My aunt never went to church that I know of, but she had just started watching tv preachers, so there's hope that she got things right. The coroner said that they were caught off guard. She had lived a pretty rough life, always picking the abuse type, so she learned to get tough and fight back. Had she had a chance, she would've put up a fight I'm sure.

mistygaildunn, From you signature line, I am guessing you are a Christian so maybe you share my belief and it will help comfort you during this time. I know church is a good thing but I don't believe you have to go to church to be saved. So if your aunt accepted Jesus Christ into her heart as her Lord and Saviour, I think you can rest assured she is in heaven.

Lord,

Bless this family and give them peace of mind. Show this family the answers they seek and help to easy the pain of losing a loved one in such a horrid manner. Lord open the eyes of this family so that they can see the love they have for one another so they can share their feelings with each other and use each other as a shoulder to cry on. Keep this family close to your heart and save them from their grief. In Jesus name we pray in unison,

Amen

I hope you find the answers you are looking for and you and your family can put your Aunts memory to rest.

IMHO
I believe as long as we are on this earth, we all live in hell.. There is no such place as down below.. When we leave this world, we all go to heaven to be at peace.. If someone takes a life, I feel that the lord has a place for all good and bad.. My prayers are with you and your family..

Thank you for all of the prayers, it helps knowing that we aren't alone. I'm in the town of Berea, just about 20-30 min. south of Lexington. The police have said that they have found no motive, and we don't know who it is.

I'm very sorry this has happened to your family. My brother also lives in Berea, you would never think something like that would happen there.

Who is your brother? The murder actually happened in the Big Hill area, just before you go into Jackson County.

I have a friend that I used to babysit for that lives on that road. Melissa Coffey. Thanks for the prayers. I don't think that I know your brother. I live about 10 min from there. The murder was actually closer to him than it was to me then. Are you familiar with the area?

Misty~ Bless you. As a believer, my prayer is that you find strength to "be there" for your family members who are not saved. The bible says that we much choose who we will serve....it's a choice, not a given. Like someone else said, maybe your aunt did choose Jesus......someday you will know. But for now, your focus needs to be on your cousins............ Sometimes tragedy opens doors for us to share Christ. I hope these doors open for you.

Praying~

My heart goes out to you....I know it is a great loss...It is bad enough to loose someone, but to be brutally killed has to be terible. My wife passed away Sunday night. She died peacefully, and now I believe that she is truely with the Lord and your aunt. May the Lord bring peace over your family.

I am so sorry to here of your loss. We lost our little boy to a genetic disorder but at least it was peaceful and we knew what happened. I cannot imagine losing someone to a violent death and not knowing all of the circumstances. You will be in our prayers.

Thanks for all of you kind words. It has been more than a week and we still don't know who did this. I can finally sleep at my house again, I had such a great fear over me that I couldn't sleep at all throughout the night, so we spent a few nights away, but I finally got the courage up to stay home last night and to let my babies out of my sight long enough to go back to school today. It's just really scary not knowing if it's someone that thinks your on to them if they'll come after you. Thanks for all of the prayers, and I'll keep you posted.
