Position Of Your Body In Relation To Your Cake

I'm trying my hand at intricate royal piping and last night I thought my back was going to break from bending over in weird positions.
So HOW DO THEY DO IT?
Do you get a super tall counter so you can work while standing upright?
Do you get a chair? How do you do that detail work bent over?
I usually work at my snackbar... when my back gets tired, I sit in a barstool and work for awhile 
I have an island that is about waist height, same as my counters, and I usually work fine on that. I also bought a bar stool so whne I know I have a lot of work to do, I can sit and work. If its going to be a tall cake, I will move to my dining table which is lower.
For most detailed work, I prefer to work with the cake about shoulder height (except for when working on the top of the cake 
). The most uncomfortable position for me is when I have a lot of work to do on the cake at the reception site and the table is low. OUCH on my back!
I have a tall cake turntable so I don't have to do alot of bending.
I usually just stand at my kitchen table, with my cake on a turn table, when i'm working on the top of the cake. I have an outside chair that is lower than my kitchen chairs, so when I start on the sides and bottom border, I bring that chair inside and sit in it. It makes me at the perfect height.
I have a harness attached to the chandelier above the kitchen table, and just hang there and swing around so it makes thing easier! Not really, but sometimes it does sound like the best position. Batsquirrel!
I would have to agree that if I had one, I find that the higher bar counters are great, did some final work on a cake at a reception hall where I could use their bar and it was very comfortable!

Love it!! I sometimes want to do that to my kids but with out icing in their hands 
Haha, I actually had a neighbour whose hubby took the little misbehaving son and hung him by the shirt up on a ceiling fan! Boy, did I yell at him, can you imagine? The child could have choked and the fan could have fallen, but I must admit, it would have looked funny if it wasn't so dangerous!
