Recipe For Motherhood
This is the cake I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. It's buttercream with candy clay hearts and button. The recipe card is a frosting sheet. I took a close-up. I hope you can read it. The recipe serves 4 because I'm one of 4 children. The pizza paddle was one of Mom's gifts so I used it as the cake board. 2005 Contest Mothers Day Contest Winner

Here’s my finished cake from the amazing, Zoe Clark Cakes’s class on Paper Crafting on Cakes. I was just so blessed to have been chosen to win a class in Cake Camp UK from a competition run by Cake Masters magazine. I can say, this is the most unforgettable experience in my caking life. I couldn’t be thankful enough.

Autumn Bird
This is a cake I made to experiment with Amber Adamson's Creamy Paint method. I used ACP to paint the cake and to color wafer paper for the bird feathers. The bird is made from 50/50 fondant and modeling chocolate. The branch is made from wire wrapped in foil and covered with modeling chocolate. These are both firsts for me. This spice cake is filled with brown sugar Swiss meringue buttercream and wrapped in cinnamon cocoa ganache. Time to have a slice and test out the new recipe.

Before The Fall
Everything that a traditional wedding cake isn’t supposed to be, but everything a cake needs to look fantastic. What one would normally use to decorate, you don’t see on this cake. Here the green flowers are the centre of attention. One look at this cake and you’re thinking of an afternoon when you’re sitting outside and soaking up the sun while the green leaves are rustling in the wind. The succulent and chevron take traditional to another level and the dark green, white and brown colors make a nice contrast while balancing each other out at the same time. xxx Riany
