Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI is one of the best culinary schools in the country. They have a one year program in pastry and baking. I'm not sure what it costs, but I know it would be nowhere near $60,000 a year. I have taken some night classes in the program and have learned so much I can't believe it. All the professors are pastry chefs. Wonderful school.
