Chances are if she would say something like that to you, she says equally offensive things to other wedding vendors. Don't worry, she won't be around very long. Before too long, she will be wondering why no one will hire her! What goes around, comes around!

Let me just say first, that the cake is very pretty.

The good part about this happening to you is that she is not the only person in the business that you are going to run into with this type of attitude.

The next time you will be ready for someone's rude and immature comments. Jealousy drives people to do some and say some dumb stuff.

You poor dear. It always seems that people that have absolutly no idea how much work goes into a cake are the first to judge and criticize. It is a beautiful cake and worth much more than $150.00. I don't know if you are a "home baker" or not, but I can almost bet that it cost you more to make that cake than what you charged. Maybe that woman forgot to take her hormones that day. Just blow her off. Again that is a very beautiful cake.

honestly...that cake is very elegant looking...it really is. i know you must have been really hurting, but remember this...every thing in life that you deal with only makes you stronger. the next time someone decides to be so nasty, don't let it get to you. hold your head up high and graciously walk out with dignity and be proud of your talents and accomplishments!!!

I just read all NINE Pages! What an %-HOLE with a capital A! She must have been losing something because you did the cake instead of herself or a cronie... Your cake was soooo elegant. How many did it feed? The bride had to have known that she got a dream for a song w/ your cake

PLEASE, you have got to let us know what the bride's response is!

It doesn't matter what she thinks - it only matters what the bride & groom think. I personally think it is beautiful.

Apparently she has issues of her own. This is an outstanding cake and a great price. Don't let someone like that get you down. I know I would do the same thing. I never stand up for myself and end up walking away crying. This cake if fantastic and you should be very proud of it.

The Wedding Industry is a business- I'm sure the Wedding planner was only upset that the bride did not use her cake vendor- who she either gets a % of the job from or referred work. Her snippy remark was trying to protect her turf- nothing to do with your cake.

My suggestion - Send her a note with pics of your work, a sample if possible and ask for a meeting- get some work out of her!

Turn this in to an opportunity!

Just wanted to add that I can always think of great comeback comments after the fact, and I'm sure you thought of some also, but you maintained your professional demeanor and handled yourself very well. Cudos to you for that. I can only agree that it's what the bride says that matters, no matter how much it hurts to have rude comments directed at something that you put effort and love into. Keep your chin up and keep us posted when you hear from the bride.

omg!!!! how rude!!! that cake is simply amazing!!!! i would have up and smacked her!!! I'm thinking her problem was she was just plain jealous!!! I once had a parent in my son's class that told another friend that "she didn't see what was so special and so hard about making and decorating cookies"...It's the people who don't have one single clue about baking or decorating that always make the rude, ignorant comments!!!!!!!!! you should be proud of your cake and do not for one second guess yourself, you did an extremly nice job...and for 150 dollars!!!!!!!!! ooooo I am sooooo mad!!! arrrrggggg!!!!!

I haven't read through all 10 pages but it sounds to me like she was letting it be knowN (unfairly to you) that she wasn't pleased with the bride's choice of cake makers. I would suspect that she is 'in' with certain wedding service providers, cake decoator included, that is profitable to her should the bride use their servbices.

THAT is one gorgeous cake! You should be proud and if the bride liked it - who cares what the coordinator had to say. YOU DID GREAT!!

WELL OMG!!!! is so beautiful!!! very well put together and so worth alot more than 150.00 for sure!!!! she got a bargin from you.....don't ever let anyone tell you anything bad about your cakes!!!! you did a great job!!! that lady was out of her mind!!!!

I truly think the bride should know how unprofessionally this woman behaved! I know if I had hired someone to do the job she was doing I would definately want to know...and this woman needs to find herself another profession cause she ain't worth a s@#! at the one she's got!!!
