This cake was for a 2nd birthday. The mom brought us the ladybug party invitation and I based the design on that. We were asked to use the red/white polka dots and the flowers sticking out of the top of the cake, but other than that, we could do what we wanted. Top layer is a 4" vanilla cake and the bottom is an 8" strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Top tier is covered in fondant with fondant accents. Bottom tier is frosted in buttercream with fondant accents. We had lots of fun with this and I'm pleased with the end result!
