I really wanted a three tiered princess themedcake for my little girl's first birthday but the prices were outrageous. I decided to try it on my own and spent hours and hours on th internet reading everything I could and savingpictures for inspiration and finally sketching cakes and coloring them in to decide on my final design. The cake was betty crocker white cake layered with strawberry preserves and iced with homemade buttercream icing. I covered it with marshmallow fondant and stamped with a foam stamp
