A good friend is an avid skier and turning 40... This is my first cake with buttercream icing (thank you to the AgentCakeBaker for the buttercream dream recipe) This was soo much fun. The trees are sugar cones, the skier is MMF marshmellow fondant. Hand painted signs. Many thanks to all the wonderful ideas that others have posted! a few silly details..the bunny, squirrel and a beer can. all MMF there are skewers in the sskiier...to keep him on the cake..he had a 2.5 hr drive...didn't want him to crash.
