Baby Shower Cake
1/2 sheet butter almond cake with strawberry SMBC filling, iced in vanilla SMBC. Fondant covered and decorated. Blocks are squares of cake with fondant covering and accent. Baby bottle is molded from white chocolate. The bottle did not paint well with the color dust/vodka mixture. I had intended a pale green to match the cake. The hostess, the couple and the guests were amazed that this was all edible! And it was yummy, too!
Wow! Gorgeous! How did you get the corners so square on the baby blocks? This is incredible! ;-D
Great Job! :)
Thank you! The trick to the sharp edges is the borders on each side. They hid a multiple of flaws! LOL
Beautiful, great job.
Gorgeous work.
Very Cute!

I get most of my molds from eBay. Just look for "baby bottle mold." Thank you for the compliments!
I'm new to the cake decorating, your cake is beautiful but I wanted to know how you made the blocks again I am new to this, :)

This is so pretty and you did a terrific job :D !
Fantastic cake--great job!
After measuring the letters and border space, I figured I'd need 4" blocks, so I baked two 8" layers of cake, 2" tall each. I cut each layer into fourths and placed filling between the layers to make 4-4" blocks. They were covered with fondant and then about 5/8" borders were cut and added, along with the letters.
