Military Welcome Home
This was such a special cake and was so honored to get to make it! The cake was butter & chocolate with buttercream and fondant. The camo was a little challenging but after I mastered the rhyme and reason it was easy. The beret was molded from RKT and molding chocolate and covered with fondant. The insignias (Ranger, Rank, Combat Medic, & Dog Tags) were also made of fondant.
Anniversary - 4Th Of July
This was an Anniversary Cake for my BIL & SIL. They were married on the 4th of July and have always had Red, White, & Blue cakes. So this year I had the honor of getting to make it. The top tier was Butter Cake with Chocolate Ganache with Salted Caramel. The second tier was Chocolate Cake with Pecan and Coconut filling. The bottom tier was Butter Cake with Buttercream filling. And I finally broke out the Airbrush. WOW.....I will always use it now.
This is by far the most fun I have had in a while. The cake was butter cake with buttercream filling as request by the customer. The sea shells were made of chocolate. The sand was my mixture of graham crackers and brown sugar.

I so enjoyed making this topper. Well until I dropped the first one and had to hurry and make a second when only hours away from delivery. Lessons learned, but what fun it is.
