Valak The Nun Bust Cake
My attempt at the Nun, Valak, from Conjuring 2 bust cake for Halloween. Been a while since I’ve done a cake and certainly had its challenges. Sculpting is sooo hard and I wanted to do something that helped develop that skill, especially when it comes to human features as it is a weakness of mine. The cake itself is peanut butter filled with homemade salted caramel, chocolate truffle and crunchy peanut buttercream. Anyways hope you like it :)

Banoffee Cake
Banana cake with 2 layers of homemade caramel sauce, bananas, freshly whipped cream and chocolate chips. Topped with more caramel, cream, bananas, crushed digestives and drizzled chocolate for my other half's 30th birthday :) Banoffee pie is our absolute favourite, so why not make a cake version!

Origami Boat Cake For Cake Central Magazine
My cake that's featured in the current cake central magazine for the "Origami Boat Theme". I'm really honored to have my cake featured among all the other beautiful cakes that are in the magazine, they really are works of art. The one on the cover is just amazing, well done! I've never had a cake featured in a magazine before, so thank you soo much!!! :)

Mother's Day Cupcake Basket/hamper
Mother's Day Rose Cupcakes in a hamper for the mother-in-law. Wish I'd taken some better photos but the other half was eager to get going (which is why there's a bit of buttercream on the cellophane. Ooops!) I also used edible glitter for that extra sparkle but can't really see on this. Overall she was very happy :)

Nightmare Before Christmas Cake
I had already uploaded this the other day, but the photos were a bit naff as I'd rushed them to get it in for a competition. It's Jack Skellington dressed as "Sandy Claws" with his loyal companion, Zero. The pumpkin is all cake and the rest was made using modelling chocolate and sugarpaste. Had my first taste at airbrushing too, don't know how I managed without it too be honest, it's sucha great tool. Anways, hope everyone had a great christmas and new years :)

The Night King Bust Cake
This is cake made for my nephew's 17th birthday. It's not really the cake I intended to make, in the sense that the cake structure snapped inside (I used cake frame) and the cake crumbled into it's little mess. With four hours left until my sister collected it, I really thought this cake was dead, Jon Snow style ;) However, I was able to save it with what little cake I had left haha. First time I've made and used modelling chocolate and have to say I love it. So easy to blend and strong, don't know why I shied away from it. It's not perfect and some things I wish were done differently, but this is my second bust cake and is all part of the learning experience :)

Vintage Floral Style Christening Cake
I did this cake for my goddaughter's christening. It gave me a chance to try new techniques, like petal ruffles and sugar flowers. It's safe to say that doing this cake really tested my patience with all the cutting, frilling and drying I had to do haha but in the end it was worth it :)

The Grinch Bust Cake
Here is my 3D Grinch cake. One of my favourite Xmas stories (and films) because it not only shows the true meaning of Christmas, but we should be loved for who we are, no matter how different...the cake isn't "perfect", but I learnt a lot doing this. Hope you like it and wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Zombie Cake
Inspired by 'The Walking Dead', I tried to create a zombie head cake with blood and gore and Daryl Dixon's arrow in the brain for halloween. The cake is chocolate and I used dark chocolate ganache as it has a firmer structure than buttercream. Dowels were used to hold the structure of the 3 x 6 inch cakes, which were 3 inches high. I used carma tacino fondant, but wish I used modelling chocolate for better texture. It's my first time carving and painting a cake like this, so I hope you like it and feel free to comment and/or criticise - all is welcome as I'm just learning and want to improve.
