This was a chocolate cake again with Swiss meringue buttercream & my first time trying horizontal stripes.
Starbucks Mocha Frapp
This cake was made with chocolate cake & vanilla cake soaked with a light coating of espresso simple syrup with mocha buttercream. For the buttercream, I Just added cocoa powder and some espresso that had cooled. The whipped cream is buttercream(all butter) tinted with americolor white and a drop of purple to off set the yellow. Drizzle is chocolate ganache.

Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake Cake
2 layers of strawberry cake with a layer of cheesecake between, the crumble outside is golden Oreos that I put in the food processor and added a few tablespoons of strawberry gelatin powder to. This cake was made for my daughter’s 10h birthday. The bottom tier was a chocolate cake with espresso buttercream, middle tier was strawberry cake with cheesecake (and a light coating of vanilla buttercream to hold them together) the top tier was just a chocolate shell molding from a 6” cake pan and filled with m&m’s before being covered in fondant, the giant cupcake was cotton candy flavored and painted with gold luster dust. I got the idea from running across it online, finding out after the fact it was in a wilton yearbook.
Unicorn cupcakes! I made 30 cupcakes, half strawberry and half were vanilla with rainbow sprinkles inside. The horns were cotton candy fondant painted with gold luster dust. The cupcakes were adorned with a couple of fondant flowers each. I think they came out pretty cute! Buttercream is Swiss meringue using Wilton meringue powder.
Mint Chocolate Chip Cake
This was for my husband's birthday. Every year I make him an Oreo cake. This year after realizing he's been on a mint Oreo and thin mint craze, I decided on mint chocolate chip. For the buttercream, I put chocolate chips and mint Oreos in the food processor and also flavored it with mint flavoring. I made a ganache and decorated using crushed mint Oreos and and whole Oreos for the top. The actual cake was chocolate. The flavors were spot on.
This cake flavors were strawberry milkshake and vanilla. The poo emoji was made from modeling chocolate.
Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake
This cake is a spin off of the strawberry shortcake ice cream. The crunch on the outside is golden Oreos that I threw in the food processor, with half mixed with strawberry gelatin.
Two Tier Gift Box Cake
This was for a baby shower. Her idea was totally simple. She wanted 2 tiers, gift boxes with a box on top. When we discussed flavors, she said she wanted "raspberry lemonade". I made the cake from a lemon pound cake recipe, it was filled with raspberry purée. Honestly, I totally winged the raspberries. I cooked them down with water, sugar and a little lemon juice and it came out perfect.
Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes
Ice cream sundae cupcakes. My chocolate cake recipe has always been a hit. So much so that for a year people only ordered chocolate cake. I got the bright idea to make cupcakes look like ice cream sundaes for my husband to take to work for a fundraiser. They were a hit and I thought they were adorable!
Vanilla Cake With Caramel Drip
This was a four layer vanilla cake with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and a caramel drip!
John Deere Cake
John Deere cake, the bottom tier was a tractor tire with the treads made from tootsie roll shaped rolls of modeling chocolate that I put under the fondant.
Rapunzel Birthday Cake
RKT and fondant tower. The cake was vanilla/strawberry and chocolate/banana. I had to drive this cake 54 miles so the night before, I turned the temp down to 33 in my fridge, which was a great idea! An hour drive and 3 hours into the party and the cake was still chilled. YUM!!
Mermaid Birthday Cake
Here's a mermaid cake with a modeling chocolate tail as the topper. The inside of the cake was rainbow checkerboard and the top tier was a "piñata" cake filled with skittles. Unfortunately, when I left the party momentarily and came back the cake was devoured and I don't have pictures of the inside!
Old Crow 50Th Birthday Cake
Crow was made from chocolate rkt and black modeling chocolate. It was the first and only thing I've ever made from modeling chocolate.
