Green With Stripes
Three tiers covered in green fondant (I haven't had much experience working with fondant, so it was a challenge!). Chocolate fondant horizontal stripes (not very even - argh!) and chocolate fondant leaves. Any tips for how to get the stripes more even would be greatly appreciated!

Monogrammed Wedding Cake
What a cake! Made from a picture the bride tore out of a magazine - I'm sorry I have no idea who made the original, but they deserve the credit. I made hundreds of fondant flowers beforehand, as well as the 'plaques' for the monograms. Cakes were: 6"x4", 9"x6", 10"x3" and 14"x3". Yellow butter cake with strawberry filling, golden ivory buttercream with white buttercream piping, fondant flowers and swags, gumpaste plaques with wine monograms.

Pots And Pans Cake
This groom's cake goes with the monogrammed petit fours, and was for a reception held the day after the wedding. The larger 'pan' is actually a chocolate chip cookie cake, and the smaller 'pot' is a dummy. Covered in fondant and airbrushed (my new toy!) with silver and copper luster dust. Handles are gumpaste.

Gold And Diamonds
The bride showed me a fondant covered cake out of a magazine, and asked me to replicate it on a smaller scale in buttercream. I wish I knew who did the original design, I would give credit. 6" and 10" square stacked cake, iced in buttercream. Double diamond design made using a ruler and patience. Edible gold dragees where each diamond meets. Bride provided the topper. Sorry the pic isn't great.

Lavendar Dots
The bride called Monday asking if I could make her wedding cake for Saturday(!). She didn't care about design, just wanted something to coordinate with her colors of lavendar and white, and she wanted it to be square, and very simple/clean. This is what I came up with. Top two tiers are sweet orange cake, bottom tier is a dummy. Orange-flavored lavendar IMBC, white drop-swiss dots. Design inspiration from Helen (aka Antonia74), although mine aren't as perfect as hers, and also I went for a more random look.

Wedding Dress Cake
My cousin got married in Fort Worth last weekend, and this is the cake I made for her. I baked it here (in Memphis) and froze it, letting it thaw on the drive down. 4", 6", 8", 10" and 12" cakes, each tier was 5" tall except bottom tier, which was is 6" tall. Amaretto cake with cinnamon cream filling, buttercream icing, fondant lacing, bow and ribbon. The cake was designed to match her wedding dress, and the groom's cake was a tux to match the groom's tux.

Practice Cake For Bachelorette Party
First off, thanks to JamesSweetie for much of the inspiration on this one. I have an order for one of these for this weekend, and since I'd never done one, I decided to practice. I took this one to a 'passion party' Saturday night, and it got rave reviews (of course, everyone was drunk, so that helped!) Harvey Wallbanger cake with IMBC and Pettinice fondant.

Another Xbox Cake
This groom's cake went with the Cherry Blossom cake. I'm not at all happy with this either, I couldn't get the controller to look as good as the last one I made. I also made a chocolate CD to go with this, BUT I wasn't told the cakes would be outside, and as soon as I set it on the cake it started melting. I figured it would be better to just take it off before I left, rather than leave it to melt all over the cake by the time the reception started. That's why the cord looks bad where the CD would have gone

Cherry Blossoms
Peanut butter cake, raspberry filling, BC icing. Chocolate fondant w/tylose branch, gumpaste cherry blossoms. This cake was a nightmare. The wedding was at the zoo, and I was told I would be able to pull my car to the reception site. Wrong. I had to carry this cake through the China Exhibit, in Memphis, in JUNE. It was hot and humid, and by the time I got to the table the tiers had shifted a little. Nothing I could do at that point - so here it is. I'm also not happy with the branch, it's out of proportion.

Whimsical Tilted Cake
Top tier is strawberry, middle chocolate and bottom white cake. I'm not so happy about the overall shape, but it was my first whimsical cake and I only had two days notice (gotta love those last minute orders!)... it was certainly a learning experience. I'm looking forward to doing another one, maybe with a bit more time to plan next time.

Acoustic Guitar
Finished this one at 5am yesterday because I had to work late (til 10pm) the night before. Hubby had to deliver it for me because I had to go back to work, he said the customer seemed happy... I hope so. White sour cream cake iced in IMBC. Body freehand cut from 12" round. Neck and head are styrofoam covered in gumpaste, fingerboard and bridge are gumpaste. Strings and frets are angel hair pasta, pegs are gumpaste on toothpics. Sides and center 'hole' are chocolate fondant. Styrofoam supporting neck.

Fire Helmet
Hand-carved cake (I didn't have a bowl the right shape - ugh!) covered in chocolate fondant which I colored black. Made for my twin nephews' third birthday, along with the fire truck cake. Thank you Debbie aka thecakemaker for the inspiration! I wish mine had turned out as well as yours!
