Gold And Diamonds
The bride showed me a fondant covered cake out of a magazine, and asked me to replicate it on a smaller scale in buttercream. I wish I knew who did the original design, I would give credit. 6" and 10" square stacked cake, iced in buttercream. Double diamond design made using a ruler and patience. Edible gold dragees where each diamond meets. Bride provided the topper. Sorry the pic isn't great.
how on earth did you get such crisp corners?! great job
How beautiful! How did you get it so smooth? That is just really pretty.
Very nice and I really think the topper finished this as well. Wonderful work!
Beautiful cake, I love the design!!
Very nice! How did you get the corners so straight?
Thank you! As for smoothing and crisp corners, honestly all I can say is practice! I do sometimes use the Viva paper towel trick if I'm having trouble smoothing as well.
I really like this design!
