Done for a 10th birthday luau themed birthday. The bottom cake is a 12x18 vanilla sheet cake, and the doll's skirt is a strawberry cake (used the Wilton's wondermold pan for the skirt). Buttercream icing, fondant decorations and brown sugar sand. TFL!
Another donated wedding cake for my church. Very last minute - literally just used whatever cakes I had left over from orders to do this cake. Very simply decorated with buttercream. I wish I had more time to execute it better - I think it will look much more refined next time when I actually have more than 2 hours to get it baked, decorated and delivered!
My second time doing a purse cake, but my first time doing a 3D one. I made this by baking a 10" round and cutting it half and sticking the halves together. It is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and fondant icing. I was really pleased with how this one came out! TFL!

The bottom tier is a single layer lemon cake with vanilla buttercream icing. The top tier (ladybug) is a strawberry cake with fondant icing. Fondant accents on the cake. There are also some ladybug cupcakes that I did that were strawberry with cream cheese icing and fondant accents. Did this one for my goddaughter's first birthday. There were just a few of us, so it didn't make sense to do a huge elaborate cake, and everyone loved it ;).

A two tier (6"+9") heart shaped cake ordered by a mother for her son and daughter in law. It's a butter rum cake with vanilla rum buttercream. All buttercream decor. She just specified blue and pink, something "traditional" looking and "Happy Anniversary" This is what I came up with. It was fun doing all of the little buttercream flowers - I love working with buttercream! TFL!

Done for one of my patients who has CP - he "ordered" the cake himself using his augmentative/alternative communication strategies. We took about 20 minutes and just went through flavours, icing types, themes, colours etc. until I got what he wanted. This was a double layer chocolate fudge 9x13 with chocolate buttercream filling and vanilla buttercream icing. Topped with fondant accents. TFL!
I finally got to do a petal cake! Did this for one of my best friends who wanted a vanilla cake, with strawberry cream filling and buttercream icing. Her only requests was that it had her favourite colours on it (pink, blue and purple) - she also loves flowers and butterflies so I slipped those onto the cake as well. I was in a rush with this one - so instead of using a spatula, I used the icing tip to pull across as I piped. Came out a little "fat" but still cute!

My first baby rump cake! I was so excited to do it and I think it came out well. It was a single layer coconut 9x13 cake with coconut buttercream. The baby rump was a half sports ball pan cake covered in fondant. The blue ruffle along the diaper is buttercream. The legs and feet were all fondant. Fondant accents on the cake. TFL!!
Done for an employee at Ernst & Young...the purse is all buttercream - only the straps and accessories are fondant. TFL!

This one was so special for me because the high school grad was one of my old first grade students! (Sigh!) How quickly little ones grow up....
