Cookie Monster First Birthday
Done for my godson's first birthday! 6"/8"/10" cakes - the top and bottom tiers were vanilla, the middle tier was chocolate chip (have to have a chocolate chip cake if you're doing a cookie monster cake!). ALL buttercream - even Cookie Monster - tried my hand out at figure piping with him and was pleased with the results. Even though it's December - it's still 80 degree weather here in the Cayman Islands. Miniature chocolate chip cookies finish off the cake. TFL!

White Black And Red Wedding Cake
Done for a tourist wedding - the bride wanted white, black and red and wanted their names on the side of the cake in black. She wore red and the groom wore black. She was such an interesting bride! A 6" vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and fondant icing. I handpainted the names on the side with black gel food colouring. Ribbon border with black buttercream piping and a red silk orchid on top. TFL!

Little Mermaid Birthday Cake
A three tier birthday girl for a little girl who loves Princess Ariel. The cake was made up of single layer 8"/10"/12" cakes - the 8" was a chocolate fudge, the 10" was a strawberry and the 12" was a vanilla. All iced and decorated with buttercream, with the exception of the birthday girl's age and name which was fondant and the Ariel candle on top. I was really happy with how this cake came out! TFL!

Single Tier Floral Scroll Buttercream Wedding Cake
A very last minute cake done for a cruise ship bride, a 6" vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and icing. There wasn't time to order florals for her cake so the wedding coordinator used sea shells that were crafted to look like a turtle bride and groom. Hope to get a pic of this cake on site soon!

Disney Princess Birthday Cake
This little girl LOVES the Disney Princesses. Last year she had a Disney Princess cake with cupcakes, and this year I wanted to do something different for her. Her mom purchased the little castle and the princesses for me to place on the cake (after they were thoroughly washed of course) so I wanted to make it look like all of the princesses were on their lawn hanging out. The girl's favourite princess is Belle, so I put her separate and used a golden yellow ribbon to accent. This was a single layer 12x18 vanilla sheet cake with an 8" chocolate fudge cake on top. All iced with vanilla buttercream and fondant flower accents. This was so much fun to make. TFL!

Minnie Mouse First Birthday Cookies
Vanilla sugar cookies with royal icing decorations. Done for a Minnie Mouse First Birthday Themed party. Half of the cookies were Minnie Mouse, the other half had "one" on it. The mom wanted some to be appropriate for boys - so I used the peach/yellow colour scheme from the theme for the one cookies and I used the pinks and whites for the minnie cookies. TFL!

Wine Cake
A cake done for a wine tasting. They wanted something cannoli inspired, but cannoli filling and the Cayman Islands heat just equals a big soupy mess. So I ended up doing a chocolate chip cake with a pistachio filling - I used a few drops of almond flavouring and chopped about 1/3 C of pistachios and folded them into the buttercream for the filling. Then I added a touch of green - it looked and tasted like pistachio ice cream :).
