I made this cake for my beautiful 3 year old daughter!! I am 8 weeks Post Op from having a pretty invasive surgeries on both of my arms at the best of the best hospital in Boston Mass. and I am so proud that my daughters cake was my first cake back!! I was expected to be away from my kitchen for 8 weeks up to 6 months! So the cake: The puppy is her favorite puppy made out of RKT and modeling chocolate and hand painted. The cake is vanilla with milk chocolate ganache covered in LMF. Each basket weave was individually placed on. It was also hand painted and rubbed to give it a nice wicker look. The lush carpet is buttercream. TFL <3 Steph

This is the 1st cake I have made since having surgery 2 months ago! I have TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome) and I had to have my 1st Rib and scalene muscles on my right side (dominant side) removed! The surgery caused immediate but thankfully not permanent nerve damage in my hand & arm! I couldn't feel or moved my hand or arm! It took up until about 2 weeks ago to feel like my hand was some-what normal again! So to make this cake was a huge milestone for me!! This cake was inspired by the famous Lisa Frank Horse! I made everything out of fondant! I took a few progress pics *you can find them on my FB page but feel free to message me if you would like to see them!* The face was hand-painted and dusted. TFL!!

This cake was suppose to be 'simple' but when I found out the theme I couldn't just make a 'simple' one. The theme was little lambs, pottery barn style. Now, I've seen a few similar basket design cakes but usually they use an impression mat to give it a nice pop of texture. I decided I wanted to go a little bit more detailed so here is what I did... This wicker basket is a double barrel. Every single little weave (is that what they are called?) was individually placed onto the cake.. all 4 million of them! Once the basket, rims and handles were all completed I airbrushed it.. then of course I ran out of brown airbrush coloring - yikes - not fun to do at 1 am!! So with that idea thrown out I hand painted over it gave it a nice natural rub.. Ta Da! The sweet little lamb was made out of RKT and fondant. The blankets and washcloths were also fondant. Next I decided a soft cream colored buttercream carpet would look perfect. TFL
My beautiful Baby just turned 2!!! How is that possible???? Eva loooOOOoves dogs.. big, little, loud and crazy or quiet and spunky.. she loves them all! She also loves the super cute Skye pup from Paw Patrol! So of course when I asked her what kind of cake she wanted she screamed SKKKKKKKKYYYYYEEE!! love her!! So here is her cake! Skye is about 7" tall and she is made out of Rice Krispy treats, modeling chocolate and fondant. OH and shes been kissed by the birthday girl a few times now TFL
I fell in love with the amazing Cup'N Cake design of Elsa and Anna cake a few months back right here on CC and when I was asked to re-create it I was so excited!! So here it is! The dolls are full size (barbie size) dolls which are wrapped in cling/syran wrap and standing up straight. The cakes are carved 8", 8", 6", 6" I carved Elsa's dress a bit more than Anna's, for Anna I added molding chocolate pleats to give it more body before I covered it with fondant. I made this Sonic the hedgehog cake for my amazing little man Brayden's 8th birthday! He has really been into sonic for the past year and when I was asking him about his birthday cake he wanted something different... something that sonic could actually be running across! I'm not gonna lie - I had a little melt down when he said he wanted the LOOP! Especially because we were traveling 3 hours away to celebrate his birthday! But of course I had to make it happen! So here it is.. Brayden's Sonic the Hedgehog game cake! The loop was created with pvc pipes covered in modeling chocolate, RKT and smoothed off with more modeling chocolate. the beginning and ending of the loop is the cake. Everything is covered in fondant. Sonic is a toy - After my little melt down I think he realized having a toy would be cool to play with and less stressful than making that heavy headed hairy little bugger! ;) I took some progress pics I hope to have up soon. I loved making this cake! The birthday girl and I share the same birthday :) The cake is Coconut flavored with buttercream frosting and fresh toasted coconut flakes. All of the animals are toys which I made little paper party hats for. The picnic table, basket and all of the food is made out of fondant. TFL!
I'm not sure who originally designed this minnie mouse inspired cake (its all over pinterest) but this is the 2nd time I've made it but this time with a little smash cake :) TFL <3
The bride and groom loved my original Tree of Life Wedding cake and when they asked if I could hand paint it on a 3D pumpkin I instantly visualized it just as it came out! I loved making this cake :) I also made 80 mini fondant pumpkins for the cupcakes and table decorations :) TFL
