Tonight was an amazing night. Not for me, but for an amazing friend of mine.... Jason..... Jason Allen is the kind of man that no matter how long its been since you've last seen him, you pick up right where you left off. He is an AMAZING single father of two beautiful girls Arianna who is almost 12 and spunky little Malia who is 3. He has an unforgettable smile and an infections laugh. Have I mentioned he is also one of the funniest guys I've ever met? He's been with the Rutland County Sheriff's Department and has always been that guy that you want to back you (or your loved one) up. He's that Office that responds to your call with dignity and respect no matter who you are or what you've done. He is quick on his feet, intelligent and has a heart of pure gold. He's that officer that pulls you over and the last thing you say to him is THANK YOU! As your handed a ticket! I'm telling you, Jason has Class. Jason also has Cancer. And as if that wasn't enough, he found out a couple of days before Christmas. Can you imagine that?? Cancer and holding it together for your girls so they don't remember Christmas this way? Tonight was Jason Allen's Benefit. As you can imagine, he hasn't been working for a few months now and his bills are stacking up I've always heard that when you step into Law Enforcement, one of the perks is having loyal friends that have your back through thick and thin. Well let me tell you, It is true. I've never seen such an organized event. Down to the very last napkin. Everything from raffles and the Chinese auction, to the Past dinner. Simply amazing. This could not and would not have been possible without the Rutland Sheriff Department, Police department or many other Law Enforcement agency's in Vermont and surrounding states. I've been making cakes for Jason's girls for years now and so I knew that if their was one thing I could help out with tonight that it would be providing the cake! Besides the sheet cakes I made a special cake just for him and the girls to enjoy at home Stay Strong Jason. YOU'VE GOT THIS!

Grave digger??? What is that?? I asked myself when I was asked to make this cake for a special little guy! Hello google... well HELLO GRAVE DIGGER! I had no clue what I was in for with this cake.. before this cake the only thing I knew about monster trucks was that they are Huge ~ the tires alone are taller than me! And LOUD! So obviously google doesn't do this truck justice.... whats next?? YouTube of course :) So I asked my Hubby to crank up the surround sound and look him up!! I've seen a lot of YouTube clips.. from crazy cat videos to some Ah HA moments learning about cakes but I can say... I'm pretty sure YouTube doesn't do this truck justice.. One of these days I HAVE to see this truck in person! So Cool! So Aiden is a super cute little guy. He's had a rough 16 weeks though... You see, he has a single mom and let me tell you, she is Ahhhhmazing! Not only is she a friend of ours, she just accomplished her lifetime goal of completing a 16 week training course at the Police Academe and she graduated on Aiden's 4th Birthday! Pretty darn good Birthday gift right!?! So the Cake~ The body of the truck is all hand carved cake, I did not have a template for this one.. so I just eyeballed it. It is lifted off of the board so you can see under the truck. The tires are RKT (rice krispy treats). All of the detail was hand painted, from the green fading to purple flames to the skulls! The dirt was a crumb cake mixed with gram crackers for a dusty look. Happy Birthday Aiden!! & Congatulations Officer Zimmer! Stay safe
We all have special moments in our life that we wish we could relive over and over. Having a precious baby changes your life in more ways than you could ever imagine. Adds joy to your entire family. Brightens your community. Makes you feel complete. But in so many ways, life isn't fair and it just down right sucks. Tatum was only here for a short short time, but his amazing smile will live on forever. Words cannot even begin to express how much he meant to so many people that loved him. Happy Birthday to my DAD!!! This Cribbage board is a Carrot Cake covered in fondant and hand painted. I made every single hole in this cake so if you wanted, you could actually play on it with the fondant pegs! The cards are fondant... if you know how to play cribbage than you can tell that the left hand is a once in a lifetime hand.. FUN FACT... Did you know that you can not score a 19 (zero points) if a 5 is flipped over on the cut? Its true! I tried every combination possible and no matter what 4 cards I picked, its impossible! The card table (base) is also fondant. TFL <3

My sweet baby Evaley just turned 1 and what better way to thank her for being such an amazing daughter than with a cake that she can play with!?! I'm not kidding when I say she is amazing.. this girl has pretty much been a solid through the night sleeper since she was a few weeks old. This is a HUGE deal for me since I do 99% of my work while my kids are sleeping She is also a sweet and super funny little thing.. not to mention Ahhhhdorable! I really got lucky with her So I was thinking for months and months about her big day and every single time I thought about it I couldn't get my mind off of some amazing Toy Box Cakes I've seen. So that was it, that was what I had to do! Everything on this cake was made out of fondant. The ball was Rice Krispy. The cake itself is 4 layers. The wood floor is also fondant and the pink shag carpet is butter cream Everything that I could make work I did from the puzzle and the stacking rings to the links and keys.. you could even put together Mr. Potato head Happy 1st Birthday Evaley Mommy 's you xoxox
OK so you've seen your share of ghost cakes right? But... Have you ever seen a Ghost Cake Floating?? Well now you have! I made this cute little guy floating above a cement (fondant) base. He is 1/2 of a ball and 2 6" layers, covered in fondant. Have a Safe & Happy Halloween!! TFL <3

All 32 NFL team logos Hand Painted on fondant! :) When I was asked to make these I thought to myself that the easy way out would be to just print the logos right? well I decided to challenge myself with using a pain brush instead! I hand painted every little detail on each of these little fondant discs :) This is the first time I've done this for cupcakes and I cant wait to do it again :)

This cake was donated to the Northshire Bookstore for an auction This was a new challenge for me... I've painted on cakes in the past but not with such detail. I choose 5 different scenes from the Book Curious George Feeds The Animals to tell the story :) On top is an edible fondant George with his bag of Peanuts! :) This is also the first time I have donated a cake for an auction and it was so much fun especially because the proceeds will go to the Book Angels which is an awesome program! Every holiday season the Northshire donates books to local kids, who may not otherwise have access to them. How amazing is that!! <3 TFL
50th Birthday Cowgirl, must have a little white chicken themed cake :) The hat was made out of RKT and fondant, sunflower & chicken are also fondant TFL :)
It's TURTLE TIME! Ok now that I got that out of the way lets talk cake! I made this one for a very special little guy... my son!! I cant believe he just turned 7!!! He loves TMNT so as you can imagine I had a very detailed description of what he wanted and when I told him I couldn't make turtles jumping, kicking or flipping off the cake, well lets just say he was a little disappointed!! This momma can only do so much!!! Anyway - so I made him the next best thing.. a non moving TMNT cake LOL So here it is Brayden!!! All 4 characters are made out of fondant and edible including the #7 and all of the little TMNT weapons. The city buildings are also fondant with hand painted golden lights. His name was hand carved TMNT style and the cake itself was airbrushed than I dusted it with silver shimmer to give it a metallic look. The base was also airbrushed bricks. TFL
Little Malia asked for a Little Mermaid Cake! She asked for the topper to be a toy (usually I make sugar toppers) so for this cake the boat, Ariel, Prince Eric and Sebastian are toys. Everything else is fondant. The water is sugar gel to match the plastic waves on the boat. Happy Birthday Malia was hand painted. Thanks for looking
