Published!
This cake was a celebration cake for two local publishing companies celebrating 40 years! The logo on the left is actually a scanable QR code!! Red velvet cake, with creamcheese buttercream and fondant accents. QR code was hand drawn (free hand!) with edible markers and took forever but was worth it in the end!

Brooke's Clubhouse
This cake is obviously inspired by Mickey's Clubhouse, but my friend wanted it to be a bit more "Minnie influenced" (original Minnie that is!). Bottom extra tall tier is WASC with vanilla butter cream, and second is lemon cake with layers of lemon curd and lemon buttercream. All covered in Duff fondant and decorated with fondant cut outs. The hat is a big RKT covered in fondant with gumpaste ears inserted on toothpicks and a fondant bow. TFL!

Kayak
this is my first gumpaste figurine and it was made for my BF's cousin (replica of her and her kayak). used a clay gun to make hair, petal dust for cheeks, gel colour for eyes. fun thing was that the head moved side to side (not on purpose but gave a fun effect). cake was vanilla bean with vanilla buttercream filling. used sugarshack's buttercream for the first time for the outter icing and will use again for sure.

Pip Pip Hooray!
this cake is inspired by PiP...display cake covered in fondant. bottom layer is hand painted with royal icing and luster dust to look like rose fabric. second tier allowed me to use my clay extruder and a new border. top tier is my fave - edible buttons!! made my own mold for gumpaste and once dry gave them shine with luster dusts. thanks for looking :)

Love Springs Eternal
Love bird garden inspired by clipart I found online. Pumpkin spice WASC posted by thefrostedcakencookie. Filled with cinnamon cream cheese icing and covered in fondant with hand cut fondant details. Was actually an engagement cake but I might have to use the love birds for future cakes!

Punk Rock Topsy Turvy
I had so much fun making this cake for my sisters 13th birthday!! It is my first topsy-turvy cake!! I took inspiration from my sisters style for the design which I call funky punk in her favourite colours. The bottom tier is three 10 rounds carved down to 8 at the base, the middle tier is two 8 rounds carved down to 6 at the base and the top tier is a dummy (was going to be real but I overdid the amount of cake needed so changed it at the last minute). The bottom tier is French vanilla WASC with an oreo filling I got from CC, and the middle is chocolate cake with a peanut butter and chocolate filling. All levels were covered in chocolate gananche before being covered in fondant. I decorated each layer, kept them separate for travel (4 hours!!!) and assembled them on site using dowels in the bottom layer for support. We were able to have the bottom layer for the family birthday and then I fixed up the rest so that it was a whole new cake for her party with friends! She LOVED it and I figure there is no bigger compliment then a group of teenage girls oohing and awing over a cake!
