Closeup Of Humpty Dumpty From Mother Goose Cake
50/50 fondant and gumpaste. I'm disappointed that I did such a poor job on his eyes! Either eye is okay, but together they are too asymmetrical. I really think eyes make the character, so hopefully next time it will go better! I also think he needs a feather in his cap!

Mother Goose Cake
This was for the baby shower for a friend of my cousin. Bottom tier is WASC with chocolate filling, middle tier is WASC with raspberry filling, Top is WASC with icing only. Iced with IMBC and Michele Foster's fondant. Figures are fondant or 50/50 fondant and gumpaste. This took forever to make but was sooooo fun! Thanks so much to sarahnichole975 as I used her nursery rhymes cake for my inspiration! I will post some closeups of figures over the next few days.

Gecko Cupcake Cake
I fell in love with Dominique26's gecko cake a long time ago and have been dying it try it! I brought this to our church potluck hoping no one would think I was strange for bringing a gecko cake! LOL! He was a hit with all the kids. Yellow cake with no-crust buttercream. Legs, eyes, and flowers are fondant.

My First (And Probably Last!) Wedding Cake!
My first wedding cake! And probably my last, too, since I was a total stress case! Apologies for the poor lighting - it is actually brown and white, not black and white. Anyway, it is 10" (WASC with Raspberry filling), 8" (chocolate with ganache filling), and 6" (WASC with ganache filling) squares, iced in IMBC, covered in Michele Foster's fondant. Scrolling is done in fondant since I'm a terrible piper. The "B" on top (which you can hardly see in the pic due to the poor lighting!) is RI.

Bearded Irises
This cake was for the installation of officers for the American Iris Society! I made it for my mother, who is friends with the incoming president. It is WASC with raspberry filling. The icing and folliage are IMBC, the irises are in Buttercream Dream. MANY THANKS to BCJean who gave me awesome instructions on how to do the irises!!!! I could not have done it without her help, seriously! I didn't even know bearded irises could be done in BC until I saw her beautiful ones!

Pillow Cakes With Tiara
Here is my other entry for the NC state fair. All fondant over dummies. Thanks to Ginger08, hope22023, missyek, emmascakes, and others who posted beautiful pillow cakes that gave me great ideas. Thanks especially to missyek for the tiara pattern, and to adawndria for help deciding colors on that top pillow (by the way that top pillow is ivory and silver - it looks a little yellow beause of a yelow light shining down on it where I was taking the pic!).
