
Fairy Birthday Cake
This is a gluten-free chocolate cake with Vanilla IMBC. The decorations are fondant, and the fairies wings are gelatin. I want to thank Eviah for the inspiration for this cake. Jungle 2 Tiered Cake
This is a two-tiered (5-8) finished in IMBC with added fondant decorations. The "box tops" were cut fondant pieces laid over the buttercream cakes. I then freehand painted the animal print. The animals, trees, and leaves were formed out of fondant and pressed to the cake. The bow is fondant as well. Around the base of each cake is my "dirt" mixture--cookie crumbs, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, & almond meal.

Yellow And Black Birthday Cake
2 tiered cake (6" and 10") The top was vanilla cake with one layer of lemon curd and 2 cream cheese and the bottom was red velvet with 3 layers of cream cheese. The cake was a surprise for a friend's 30th birthday. Her signature colors are yellow and black. The cake is finished in IMBC with black tinted chocolate ganache piping and black fondant strips. I did a baby shower cake a while back, and the general consensus was that the flowers on it actually distracted from the cake. I took heed and refrained from adding flowers. 4 Tiered Wedding Cake With 2 Mini-Wedding Cakes
This was a fun wedding! The groom really wanted individual cakes for each guest. However, it was just too costly. He also really wanted a "sparkly" cake so I sprinkled as much edible glitter on top as possible, and the two mini-cakes were a surprise to him from the bride. All of the cakes were finished with IMBC and edged with navy blue fondant ribbon. The mini-cakes have buttercream flowers, and the main cake has fresh. Feel free to critique--I am CSM. TFL!!!

3 Tier Square
This 3 tier square was 6 X 6, 9 X 9, and 12 X 12. The top two tiers were Hawaiian Delight (Coconut, White Choc., Mac. Nut cake with fresh pineapple and coconut pastry cream) the bottom tier was marble cake with 2 layers of choc. choc chip mousse and 1 layer of ganache. The whole cake was finished and decorated in IMBC. The pink ribbon around the base and the bow on top are fondant. This beautiful picture was given to me by the photographer. Trust me the cake did not look as good when it left the shop!

Classic Pooh Sitting On A Tree Stump
This was a gift to a friend. The cake itself was vanilla cake with alternating layers of fresh strawberries and choc. choc. chip mousse. Thankfully, I had assembled the cake on Friday, because on Saturday, I ran short on time and only had 30 minutes to carve and finish the cake. (The gumpaste flowers are all purchased) The cake was finished in choc. IMBC.

Goodbye Cake
This cake was made for a client whose daughter was moving to Japan. It was a last minute cake so I was a little limited on deco, but I thought it turned out fairly nice. It is finished in IMBC with piped ganache branches and dusted pink fondant flowers. The ribbon around the base is fondant as well. CSM: All critique is welcome and appreciated! TFL!

Baby Shower Presents
The 9" round was vanilla cake with 2 layers of fresh strawberries and 1 layer of vanilla pastry cream. One of the square cakes was chocolate cake with 2 layers of choc. choc. chip mouse and 1 layer of ganache. The other square cake was vanilla cake with 2 layers of raspberry buttercream and 1 layer of lemon pastry cream. They are all coated with IMBC and have fondant accents. The hearts are all piped BC. I am a CSM so all critique is welcome and appreciated! TFL

3 Tiered Gluten-Free Baby Shower
I made this cake for a friend of mine. It is completely gluten-free. It is finished in IMBC with some fondant accents and piped ganache. The bottom tier is chocolate cake with 2 layers caramel buttercream with toffee crunch and 1 layer of almond ganache. The middle tier is red velvet. The top tier is vanilla cake with peanut butter pastry cream and strawberry jam. Celiacs don't always get much choice in the way of dessert. I can't tell you how thrilled she was to have 3 different flavors for her cake! TFL!! Constructive criticism welcome!

Individual Hat Cakes
These cakes were ordered for a tea party. I used the Wilton Mini Ball cake pan. I then covered each cake with an extra long piece of fondant which I cut around to make the hat brim. I added the band, gumpaste and royal flowers, and butterflies last. Each cake was color coordinated to the outfit the lady was wearing.

Rachel And The Lion Book Release Cake
I made the author's anniversary cake, and I was delighted when they contacted me to make a cake for her first children's book release party. (The book is fabulous by the way) The cake is finished in IMBC with a fondant book marker. The cover picture is an edible image.

Under The Sea Birthday Cake
The cake is finished and decorated in IMBC. The crab is made from fondant, and the "sand" is a combination of almond meal, brown sugar, white sugar, raw sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. (I usually just throw a bunch of "sandy" looking food into a bag and shake it up. I have used just white sugar that I tinted with ivory, brown, and lemon yellow gel colors.)
