A Royal Affair
This cake was for a quinceanera party. The cake was covered in buttercream icing. Molded fondant swags were used. Two tiers were painted with gold dust and lemon extract. One tier was covered in rolled fondant billow puffs and a molded miniature gpld painted flower joined each puff. Gumpaste butterfiles were then added to the cake.

Damask Multi Colored Present
I iced this 7" round cake in butter cream, set it in the freezer for a few minutes, then added the splotches of color. I put it back in the freezer until firm then stenciled the pattern with black butter cream icing. I highlighted just a few places with gold. The flowers and tag are gumpaste.

Orange And Silver Quinceanera Cake
A cake for a 15th birthday, this cake was iced in BC, then fondant diamonds were added to the second tier and an orange fondant drape was added to the bottom tier. The drape and dots are orange buttercream and large fondant "pearls" were added to the joint of each drape. The flowers and 15 are gumpaste.

Ruffled Anniversary Cake
This cake was iced in BC then mini pearls were pressed into the icing on the top tier. Fondant ruffles were made into flowers, then fondant ruffles were made to surround the flowers on the bottom tier.The flower on top was made with ruffled fondant. The entire cake was sprayed with pearl lustre.

Family Reunion Picnic
This cake was for a family reunion/5oth wedding anniversary. The client said her parents were young at heart and a funloving couple who did not want anything special for their anniversary. Yet she wanted to at least give a nod to them. They decided on a picnic themed cake, including ants and food. The napkin with the 50 on it was the only suggestion of the anniversary. The cake was iced in buttercream, the tablecloth was stenciled in the red check pattern. The ants were edible images. The plate and napkin were fondant and the hot dogs and cookie were buttercream.

Pink Princess
This cake was done with both buttercream and fondant accents. It was to celebrate the birthday of a "tot beauty queen." They asked for something over-the-top and pink! The tiara is made of gumpaste. The gold ribbon is fabric ribbon. the "fantasy flowers" are made of fondant. The "gems" on the hot pink tier are made of piping gel.

Lauren's Cake
This cake was done in a combination of buttercream and fondant. The bottom tier looked like the skirt of the bride's dress, the oval dotted layers were patterned after the bridesmaids' dresses, and the lace designs were from the bodice of the brides dress. The flowers were gumpaste made to duplicate her wedding flowers. The bride was a former employee who just told me to make something from her inspiration photos that she gave me and to surprise her with the cake. What fun!

Corporate Cake For Hospital
This cake was iced in buttercream and had fondant accents. The local children's hospital was recognizing the residents in pediatric medicine who worked in their hospital. It was the 20th anniversary of the organization. The top tier has an EI of the logo. The leaf and vine pattern from the logo was intergrated into a tier of the cake and the cake was decorated in the logo colors. The candles on top were made of gumpaste.

Lace And Ribbon Flowers
Covered in fondant. Displayed at the 2011 ICES convention cake room. Fondant lace strips with icing piped on. Flowers were made out of small strips of gumpaste with a molded center with luetre and disco dust. The ribbons were all pearled. The monogram was molded on a lace mold, then cut out, and added pearl and disco.

Nesting
A baby shower cake made from a photo the couple brought in of a diaper cake! The cake was done in buttercream with fabric ribbon. The stripes on the top tier were made of fondant. I did not have time to hand make the bird and pacifer, so the customer brought me the pacifier and scrapbook paper. I cut out a bird out of a cake box lid and glued the paper to the board. The leaves are gumpaste.

Watercolor Damask
The bride had the most beautiful stationery, table runners, etc, handmade for her wedding. She gave me a copy of her invitation and this is the cake I designed. It is iced in BC, damask stencil, with a fondant sparkly ribbon. The colors on the top tier were airbrushed to look like the watercolor on the invitation.

Ganache Valentines Cake
We ran a special for Valentines day. A 5" chocolate cake with two layers of chocolate mousse filling, covered in chocolate buttercream with ganache poured over the cake. Accented with a bc rose and leaves with with chocolate garnish. We boxed them and tied a red ribbon on each box.
