Rachel's Cake
Cake for 440, with a mix of rounds and hexagons.The bride gave some ideas of elements she wanted on the cake, most specifically a Jewish "Hamas" symbol and a pomegranate symbol. The detail mimics the beading on her gown and the waistline of the dress. The flowers are fresh flowers. The cake sat on one of the most beautiful tabletop overlays I have ever seen.

Table Top And Cupcakes
This order was for cupcakes with the names of the three graduates on the cupcakes. The names were gumpaste plaques. The cake was to look like a cloth covered table with the girls photos on the table with a "graduation cake" and flowers. The photos and frames were made of gumpaste and the girls' pictures were hand drawn on the gumpaste. The roses are gumpaste. The "graduation cake" is buttercream iced cakes. The tablecloth is rolled fondant.

Hawaiian Dream
Cake was iced in buttercream, Top has palm trees, surf boards, tropical flowers. Second from top tier was tropical fish scenes on a hexagon layer. Next to bottom tier was buttercream textured to look like sand with buttercream flip flops with gumpaste thongs. Bottom was fondant flowers. Fondant shells were scattered on the cake. A gumpaste tropical bird finished it off. The cake was actually for an eye doctor's offices anniversary celebration.

Classic Art
The reception for this wedding was in our Art Museum in the city. The cake served 325 people. The bride wanted something classic, tone-on-tone, but with a "flair." The cake is iced and decorated in buttercream with gumpaste roses and stephonotis. Their request was for an organic, flowing design of flowers, then the look of flowers that have just "fallen" on the cake scattered. There are two styrofoam drums in the set-up with six tiers of cake.

Regency
This is the second cake I did for a photo shoot with a local wedding magazine. The cake is icing with stencil pattern on the top and third tier, with some added piping. The other tiers are all hand-pipied freehand. Accented with gold highlights. The flowers are silk flowers because I think that fresh white and cream roses really would be appropriate for this design. I really enjoyed doing this cake! I love to do piping on cakes.
