Thanksgiving Turkey Cookies
I made forty of these for Thanksgiving to be passed out to friends, family and coworkers. Just a little something to say thanks. These didn't really come together for me until the very end...there is nothing like a table full of turkeys staring back at you at 2am to give you a good laugh! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Penny's sugar cookie recipe and Antonia's RI.

Turkey Dinner
I made these to send to my brother in Oregon since he will not be coming home for Thanksgiving this year. They proved more difficult than I thought, and I am not totally happy with them. Oh well, I learned a lot. By the way, that is a biscuit in the right-hand corner not the giant, man-eating blob. :-) These were inspired by SweetDreamsAT's fantastic pumpkin pie cookie. I used Penny's sugar cookies recipe with Antonia's RI.

Medical School Cookies
I love decorating cookies! These are my second attempt at decorated sugar cookies, and I am totally addicted! I blame all of you cookie people out there who keep posting ADORABLE cookie pics and have these beautiful cookie websites. It's your fault! Anyway, these are for my brother who is studying to be a Physicians Assistant out in Oregon. I thought he would get a kick out of these. I need a lot more practice, but I am sort of getting the hang of it....sort of! TFL

Halloween Cookies
...yes, more Halloween cookies. I know there have been a ton posted already, but these are the first sugar cookies I have ever done. So, I wanted to post. I used the NFSC recipe with Antonia's RI. Thanks to all you AWESOME cookie ladies out there who provided inspiration via your pictures. You are all so very talented! ...I think I found a new sugar outlet!

Halloween Tower Of Terror
I had the itch to make a cake, and this contest provided a perfect excuse! It was inspired by several similar cakes on CC. I had a pumpkin tier to add atop the ghost, but didn't add it in fear it might topple. Bummer! It was pretty cute. Sorry about the poor backdrop...there was no one available to hold up the sheet :-) Happy Halloween and good luck to everyone who entered. There are some awesome cakes!

Baby Safari Shower
I loved this one! It was designed to replicate the baby bedding mom-to-be selected for her baby's nursery. She cried when she saw it...the best compliment I have received yet! Each side of the base had a different animal scene. I will submit a separate photo of all four scenes. All decorations were in chocolate. TFL

A Paris Bon Voyage
This was for my cousin's Paris themed Bon Voyage party. All decorations are chocolate transfers. It was my first attempt, and they were pretty easy to do! I didn't know was how extremely heat sensitive they are. I lost part of the cloud around the Eiffel Tower and the street lamp I made to go next to the bench during the long, hot drive. You live and you learn! Also, around the base I had an Arch de Triumph scene and a Notre Dame scene that matched the "Bon Voyage Plaque". They were cool! PM me for pics.

Pretty Pink Purse
This was made for a little girl's 3rd birthday party. The purse topper was a gum paste replica of the party invitation. Also on the top were gum paste toys the mom asked me to include in the cake (pink cell phone, ChapStick and princess dress-up shoes). The bow and plaque were 50/50 gum paste and fondant. This was a fun one to do...I loved the colors. The cake was white (I colored it pink for fun) with layers of vanilla SMBC. It was also iced in SMBC. Thanks for looking!

Daisy Delight
A big bouquet of daisies always makes me smile, which is why I though this would be a perfect cake for my mom's birthday. The stems are Pirouette cookies dipped in tinted white chocolate, and there are 55 gum paste daisies on top. I would have liked to have added a few more daisies for some added depth, but I ran out of time. I also tried a new recipe...country buttermilk cake with blackberry buttercream. It was fantastic! Thanks for looking.

Clothesline Baby Shower
This cake was inspired by a Rebecca Sutterby shower cake. Hers was more for a unisex shower and did not have the middle tier or plaque. This was a fun cake for me because it was my first time covering a cake in fondant and making a bow. It took quite awhile to get it right, but I was very please with the results. The cake was yellow with vanilla SMBC. Thanks for looking!

Strawberry
This was for Father's Day. It was simple and delicious! It was a "Cleveland Cassata" cake consisting of layers of sponge cake filled with vanilla custard, whipped cream and fresh sliced strawberries. Normally these cakes are frosted in whipped cream, but this one was frosted in IMBC. Thanks for looking.

Jr. High Graduation
This was for a Jr. High Graduation - my first paid cake. The client requested that I include the school colors (purple and gold) and her niece's favorite activities (horseback riding, volleyball and swimming). I am very happy with how the top tier turned out, but wish I had a little more time to complete the bottom tier as I had intended. I am new at this and still learning how to estimate how long things will take! The cake was chocolate and yellow layers with white chocolate IMBC. Thanks for looking!

Chicago Cubs
I made this for a family gathering. I cake lifted the idea from lara3teach's most perfect looking Cubs cake. Mine was not what I had hoped. I had planned to do the logo in buttercream, but picked the wrong time to try a new recipe (it did not crust as I had hoped). So I used fondant and blah, blah, blah...it's not my favorite cake. It tasted pretty darn good though! I will try this cake again with my normal butter cream recipe because we love the CUBS.

Monkey Business
I made this cake for my son's first birthday. It was my first attempt at a tiered cake as well as my first time making and using IMBC. The buttercream was fantastic, and I will use it from here on out. Yum! Top layer was chocolate with Oreo buttercream filling. Bottom was WASC with raspberry filling. Monkeys and accents were 50/50 fondant and gumpaste. I am very new at cake decorating (5th cake), and I would GREATLY appreciate any constructive criticism....it is the best way to learn! Thanks for looking!

Easter Bunnies
This was the cake I made for Easter this year. It was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I had never used cream cheese frosting before...it was not easy to work with :-) I borrowed ideas from this site, but can't find where. If anyone knows who did these bunnies first, let me now so I can give them credit. Thanks!
