Purse And Cupcakes Shoes
Purse cake is buttercream with fondant flap. Flower is jolly ranchers melted into jewel mold. Shoes are cupcakes with sugar cookie sole and wafer cookie heel. This was my first purse and my first cupcake shoes. I'm looking forward to my second round. The purse was unstable. Next time I will make it wider and probably over it in fondant.

Baby Feet And Buttons
This is a meet the baby , baby shower cake for a little boy. I was given a sample multi-colored napkin to work off of and specifically asked not to include the pink but now I really wish I had just a little bit of pink to break up the color. Something about the coloring seems just a little flat to me. Feet are chocolate mold, buttons are modeling chocolate using the Wilton mold. I think I need to buy multiples of molds from now on...took for ever to make all those buttons 4 at a time:)

Pink Ruffle Cake
This cake was for a friends baby shower. I was obviousely inspired by the many ruffle cakes here on CC but the one that convinced me to try it was a two-tiered one by CakeSue. This is a 6 inch round cake with 5 , 1 inch layers inside. Each layer is also a shade of pink to match the change in color of the outside. The flower on top is my fantasy peony, made with a 5 petal cutter and no wires. I plan on writing up a tutorial on the flower because it doesn't require too many tools. Hopefully CC will let me upload a pic of the inside as well as the outside.

Corporate Anniversary Cake
25th Anniversary for the company my DH works for. 14 inch square, 12 , 9 and 6 inch rounds. Buttercream frosting. Hand cut fondant letters. Oh how I need a Cricut for those crazy logos. Honey comb is made out of butterscotch. Wasps on wires are fondant with gelatin wings. Antenae and feet are non-edible stamens. Company is a bar code company and the square bar codes are edible images that can actually be scanned and register messages like Happy Anniversary

Orange And Blue Birthday Cake
This is an 8 inch mimosa cake with citrus buttercream. This design came directly from a beautiful two tier cake by Jaime3679. When my friend asked me to do something with blue and orange I was so excited because I had saved her cake a while back because I thought the colors and styling were awesome. I chose to do a different topper because it was a single tier and I wanted something over the top. I used the new wilton fondant molds for the flowers. They were super easy to use. Can't wait to buy the rest of fthe series.

Red Queen's House
I did this cake for my first cake competition, the North Texas Cake and Sugar Art Show. I took a first place ribbon in my category Adult Intermediat - Novelty Tiered. The main comment from the judges was that next year I should enter the next level up which I took as a massive compliment. The book and base of the house are cake dummies. The main roof is RKTs covered in fondant. The little lighthouse on top is fondant panels with gelatin windows. The tree and hedges are RKTs covered modeling chocolate. The clear hearts at the entrance I made using the Cake Play isomalt sticks which I love. The board is fondant and took FOREVER because I made it so the tiles would be flush. A big shout out to Sharon Z?s amazing DVDs?I used her book DVD to help me through the book and I used several techniques from her boxes and bows for other parts of the cakes. Thanks for looking and anyone considering entering a cake show, I highly recommend it. A lot of stress but also a lot of fun.

Disney Cars Cake
This is a 6 inch and 10 inch cake. Buttercream with fondant accents, toy cars. Chocolate number 3. I sent my friends here to cakecentral to get ideas for a Cars cake for their 3 year old son. The husband then picked their favorites and came up with this design. I'm not 100% sure which cakes he used for inspiration to give original credit to so a general thanks to all CCer cars cakes.
