My son asked for a fireman cake, I found these brilliant candles and made the firman for the top, sadly I hadn't discovered Cake Central by then because I could have got an awful lot of inspiration to add to this. But there is always next year!
Small rectangular fruit cake covered with marzipan and fondant, bed posts are half fondant half flower paste. Chair and drawers are both small cakes covered in fondant then painted, the chair legs and back are spagetti covered with fondant. Santa, his quilt, the presents, tree, clock, boots stocking and jacket are all fondant.
My first wedding cake.
I made this in a class with help from a great tutor. I haven't had a chance to try it again on my own. It started as a square sponge that was cut up then stacked and then with a small amount of carving Thomas appeared, he was then covered in fondant.
This was my first car cake, I carved it myself and covered it with fondant all the little bits are made of fondant.
