This was for a school friends grandparents who have been married for 65 years! My friends gran is called Iris so the flowers had to be Iris, I ordered a cutter which came without instructions so this is my best guess using google images as to how the petals fit together! It was a lovely cake to make.

The Lion Rampant is the Scottish Royal Banner, it's the unofficial second national flag of Scotland and used at lots of sports events. I got the technique from Planet Cake's new book (it's a great book!).
I made these for the nurses at Ward 8 at Stirling Royal Infirmary, they looked after my husband's gran until she died aged 93 this week. I wish I could have given them all their weight in gold because they were amazing. The flowers are made from gumpase and shaped with a Sunflower Sugar Art cutter and mould.

All white, the thistles have snowflake lustre dust on them to give them a nice sparkle.
Tinkerbell isn't that easy to do, she is so small and pointy and precise. Less of her was definately more as far as I was concerned, less to get wrong!

The birthday boy asked for Happy Birthday Cameron and a kicking tae kwon do guy on his cake, so that's what he got. I did try to figure out if I could make them to stand on top of the cake but the side seemed so much safer!
