Wedding cake I made in 2010, just came across the pictures today. French macaron tower with touches of magenta petal dust on the macarons. Golden swags, yellow roses. I loved this cake, too bad I didn't get better pics.
Buttercream Cake With Fondant Lace And Gold Ri Cage
6, 8, 10, and 12 frosted with IMBC. I used the Earlene Moore lace molds from Marvelous molds and followed the steps in Colette Peters' Vintage Cake Modern Methods Craftsy class for the RI cage. All flowers are GP painted in shades of purple, which matched the wedding perfectly!

Textured Fondant Tulip Wedding Cake
GP tulips and leaves. Bottom and top tier are a texture I developed after seeing a piece of machined metal in a similar pattern. Ivory plaques with white cutout overlay with RI dots piped around the cutout. Textured braided swag wrapped around smooth tier.
White Poinsettia Wedding
I made this cake many years ago for a friend's wedding. Pale yellow fondant with swirl impressions that I painted gold. White poinsettias and gold berries. The cake was actually blondie instead of cake so it would travel better in a plane. That's why the tiers are so short.
I made this cake this weekend in a class with Joshua John Russell in Seattle. It is hand textured fondant and hand molded embellishments that I painted with AU gold highlighter. We used Fondarific on the cake. It stays soft so I can do the hand texturing without getting elephant skin, amazing product, it was the first time I had used it. Thanks for a great class Joshua.

I made this cake using Kaysie Lackey's balance method. Flange screwed into wooden base, threaded center pipe covered in plastic. Each cake is balanced on center pole using a washer and nut. This cake was super heavy. The construction is so strong, I actually transported this cake fully assembled. I was foryunate to learn this with Kaysie, but she covers teh method in this online class: http://tv.cakemasters.com/pages/course/portal.aspx?courseid=50 I wish the middle cake had been tilted a bit more for added drama. I chose lemon blossom for the bottom tier since they represent fidelity and roses on the middle represent love. I tried a new technique in the middle tier which did not work out well. I drew with edible marker a rose motif in grey on the fondant, then put the GP roses over the drawing. It was supposed to look like the drawing had come to life. Instead it just looked like I tried to cover a bad drawing with flowers. FAIL! But I loved the rest of the cake.
