Corona Cake
I made this cake and was inspired by Cindymm4's Corona cake. I made this for Cinco de Mayo. I painted the comforter to match their comforter at home. The wife even told me which hat, boots, and shirt to put on him! LOL I made an edible image out of a picture of his face and stuck it on with a little frosting. I had so much fun making this!

Oval Fondant Wedding Cake
This was my first oval wedding cake. I covered it in Satin Ice, and used Super Pearl Luster Dust on it. The bride wanted and eggplant-colored fondant ribbon. I used Eggplant petal dust, followed by a layer of Grape Luster Dust. The ribbon was fondant, but the bow was my first attempt with Gumpaste. She also wanted monogrammed initials on the top layer.

Nmsu Engineering Degree Cake
I did this cake for my cousin who graduated from NMSU with a degree in Engineering. I used two 12" rounds, connected them with a bridge. I made a scroll out of fondant, and wrote the quote from his graduation announcements. On the front of one of the cakes was the logo for the company he will be working for. On the second cake, I covered a cupcake in fondant, and made it into a graduation cap. On the front of that cake is the logo for NMSU, as well as my replica of Pistol Pete. It was a lot of fun!

Drum Cake
This is a buttercream cake, painted with luster dust. It was my first time with luster dust, and I wasn't crazy about the effects on buttercream. :( However, I did like it on the fondant! I covered those Pepperidge Farm Pirouette cookies with chocolate fondant, painted them with the luster dust, and used those as drum sticks. Plus the picture is really bad. Sorry!

Tinkerbell Cake: The Sequel
This is the second time I've done this cake, and I liked it much better. The first time, I accidently matched the dress to the grass. This time, I was able to make the dress much lighter and the grass darker. I also cut the fondant different for the dress, and used the Cake Central Silver Sparkle dust (applied with a little lemon extract) I used the Wilton doll pan, on top of a 8 inch cake.

Spongebob On The Beach
This was a fun cake. All Buttercream frosting and decoration. I threw two sleeves of cinnamon graham crackers, a little more sugar and cinnamon, and a couple of spoonfuls of butter in the food processor to make the sand. The butter really helped give it a "sand" texture. I took a small amount of the crumbs, and another big spoonful of butter to create the sand castle.
