Western Carolina Catamounts Cake
This cake was ordered for an intern's last day on the job. He's leaving for WCU next week. It's a 1/2 sheet van. ck with van. bc. The edible image is my third. I'm learning how to "properly" do this technique a little better with each cake. Thanks for looking and thanks for the tutorial on fbct's. :)

Gracie's Prek Graduation Cake
This is a 1/2 sheet vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream icing. Fondant accents include: book, bookworm, apple, chalk, stars, and crayons. (This is only my second or third attempt at fondant sculpting, so I'm pretty pleased with my results.) I laid the lines off for my "ABC's" with dental floss and followed those lines for straightness. The handwriting is all freehand...I referred back to my 5-year-old's handwriting for the "child" writing. Can't believe my BABY is starting school!!! ((sigh))

Wedding Shower Cupcakes
I wasn't sure exactly where to place this pic, since they're cupcakes. This order was for 3 dozen vanilla and lemon cupcakes with vanilla butter cream icing for a wedding shower. The theme was Hawaii (where the couple planned to honeymoon), so the cupcakes were topped with hot pink and aqua hibiscus flowers on top of a swirl of butter cream. The bottoms of the cupcakes are coated in candy melts. Thanks for looking...

Cake For Hospital Skills Training Seminar
This is a full sheet chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream icing. The hospital's year-long theme is western, and after looking around in the galleries, this bandana and denim motif is what I came up with. I also have candy melt cacti that are still hardening, and they'll be stood upright on the cake tomorrow prior to delivery. Thanks so much for the inspiration; although, now I can't remember who posted the original pic that I got this idea from. Thanks for looking...

Bd Cake For Gloria
Well, after an awful day with no power, lots of humidity, and packing up everything to go back/decorate at my sisters, this was the result. 1/4 sheet chocolate cake with butter cream icing, and cornelli lace. Was hoping for a more "creative" cake, but my nerves were shot. They still loved the cake. :)

George Wedding Cake
This cake was varying layers of chocolate, vanilla and lemon with van bc filling in each. The bride's colors were very pale pinks, so that's what the "bluebells" on the cake are pink. I made 144 of those little babies to go on the cake out of royal icing. I thought it turned out really well. Definitely working on my swags more in the future.

Tim's Groom's Cake
This one could actually go in the disaster category. Took the cake to the home on the lake where rehearsal dinner was being hosted...in 101 degree heat and my candy melt "flames" were melted onto the borders. Ugh! They WERE standing tall and pretty. Anyway, I did the best that I could with it, and all were pleased. Vanilla and chocolate cake with van bc. Topper is made from candy clay. Design from polyer clay book.

Tim And Katie's Wedding Cake
This one about killed me...mixer blew, had deliveries and pickups overlapping, but it all worked out. This cake is a 3-layer vanilla and chocolate cake with van bc filling and frosting. The piping is simple scroll work with intermittent Swiss dots. Each layer has real red rose petals for added detail.

Daisy Cake
This was one of my very first "formed" flower attempts with any medium other than bc. I used royal icing for the daisies. I didn't realize until I started making the daisies that I didn't have a flower former. I made a "home made" former by cutting my empty paper towel insert (cardboard) in half. Worked great. This was also my first paid cake outside of the bakery that I work in.

Fbct...my First...with A Barnyard Theme.
This is a 1/4 sheet red velvet cake with buttercream icing. This was my very first FBCT. I had to go back after this photo was taken, and touch up a lot of "smears." I learned a lot from this FBCT, and will use what I learned on future cakes. The animals are also piped in buttercream.

Religious Themed Cake For A Local Pastor
I am tickled with how well this turned out. I have to confess that I used different elements from some of the photos that I've found at CC to do this cake. This is a 1/2 sheet marble cake with buttercream icing. When I delivered it this morning, the pastor's DIL was thrilled with it. Yeah!
