Kari's Cake
This cake was supposed to be a friend's wedding cake at a "party" (reception), only they got married on Firday, the 13th, had a dinner and then today (Sat.) had a bridal shower at noon. I delivered the cake 45 minutes to the shower and then she would take it to the party later tonight, 5 minutes away. I didn't know it was going to travel again so I told her that I could guarantee it would arrive in one piece after I stacked it and applied all the flowers (royal, luster dusted). It became the shower cake!

My First Flip Flops
A lady at church wanted a cake to send off her 4 & 5 year olds to their newest class for promotion Sunday so I did these flip flops. All BC with royal daisy and I cheated and used straps cut off of a pair of flip flops from the Dollar Store. (cleaned of course!) The sunglasses are from the Dollar Store, also. Thanks to Melysa for the inspiration and instructions!! Next time the shells will be different neon colors in keeping with the cake!

Meghan's Cinderella Castle
Had a neighbor's relative call me to do a Cinderella cake for her 3 year-old so this is my very first attempt at it. Let me say that I definately undercharged!! Since I'm so OCD and such a perfectionist, I have over 10 hours in this cake plus baking and making icing. It is a 10" round WASC made with the White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer and my cream cheese icing. I was so worried about the towers falling that I doweled but I don't like that you can see them in the windows.

Steve' Cake
This was a first-time cake on many levels! Txkat's scratch cake recipe for Vanilla Cognac, SMBC, and working with colored piping gel! YUCK!! I will stick to FBCT from now on!! The adults liked this cake, kids hated it! The SMBC was good but I truely felt like I was eating all 6 sticks of butter that were in the recipe!! Maybe I'm just too conditioned on american buttercream!! My 58 year-old BIL loved his cake though and that's what counts!

First Dora Cake
Well, never try a new product on an ordered cake!! The Choco-Pan was way too soft to work with and gave me fits so the diamond pattern was not my best effort. This is a cheesecake with chocolate cake and raspberry filling and buttercream dream with fondant and choco-pan decorations. Then to top it off is slid off of the board while I delivered it to the house. I forgot to take the parchment off of the cheesecake layer before anchoring to the board.

Small Tiffany Box Cake
I did this cake at a cooking show at the restaurant I work at. People could come in for free and sit in on cooking demos. (It's a HUGE place - seats 1000 people at a time!) I taught how to cover this box in a half hour in the morning and then later in the day taught the ribbon and bow and how to apply in a half hour!! I noticed the bottom of my ribbon "snapped" back. UGG! I used rice krispie squares and buttercream to make the cake and the waitstaff devoured it later in the day!

Course 4 Final
Well, here it is my Course 4 final cake complete with fantasy flowers and ball border. Dusted the white balls with super pearl luster dust which had the other 3 ladies in class wondering what it was and where to get it! The carnation gave me fits just like the rose did in Course 2! Flowers and I just do not get along!!

Roxy's 50Th Birthday Cake
Did this cake for a friend's stepmom. She is a big dog lover so they wanted something "doggie"! The ends are 9" cheesecake topped with raspberry filling, topped with vanilla white cake. The center of the bone is all white cake/raspberry filling. Cream cheese buttercream. This cake needed to serve 50 or so guests. Thanks!

Floral Wrap Cake
This cake was a torture to do!! Tried new chocolate frosting recipe and it did not do what I needed it to do so I had to alter it, which changed the flavor a bit. White Chocolate floral wrap (thanks, ShirleyW!!) The white chocolate on top was an after thought and it DID NOT turn out like I wanted. The roses are tootsie rolls (first ones I've done) and the pinks were too pink so I brushed on some CC amethyst luster dust right before delivery and that helped tremendously! Oh, well, live goes on!!

Sharon's Cake
Did this cake for my waitstaff supervisor at our combo Christmas/birthday party this week. Cheesecake, raspberry filling, white vanilla sour cream cake, cream cheese buttercream, chocolate transfer and fondant accents. This was my first attempt at tranfers and I definately need more practice!! You can't tell in the pic, but the cake slants toward the top of the "purse". Inspired by joanneK. Everyone loved it!
