Ian's Pirate Ship
UGG!! This cake was so frustrating to do (being my first and probably my last!!) as I partially froze it to carve and cover last night only to discover some major settling this a.m. which thank goodness the BC water covers up the sagging fondant! rails and posts are tootsie rolls. Covered in SI DC fondant. Paper sails and fondant shark fins! I'm a guest at the party so I'm going to insist that I cut it as i know where every skewer and toothpick is!!

Logan's Cake
A cake for my grand nephew who is into sharks big time! I "stink" at fondant figures and wish I had done better. The fondant was soft and kept sinking into itself making my kid in the the number 6 life preserver look really chubby! All BC with fondant fins, sharks and kid. 9" round WASC

Julie's Cake
A poor replica of a beautiful cake done by sugarcreations.com. The bride wanted to use this topper even though it completely ruins the look of the cake. The original used wrought iron looking monograms which I would've preferred! WASC with BC and Satin Ice Dark Chocolate Fondant for the "leather" look and straps. GP concho's. 14, 10 and 6"

Steph's Cake #2
Well, here is the final cake for my daughter's wedding today (Aug. 4th) The bottom two tiers are dummy and the top is chocolate. Covered in fondant which by the way, my hat is off to all of you that cover REAL cakes in fondant on a regular basis. It is tons harder than covering cake dummies! I now know why I like BC covered cakes and fondant is reserved for embellishing!!!

Stephanie's Cake
This is a cake dummy for my DD wedding as they are having a open house style reception and we wanted everyone to be able to see the cake. They'll cut a 6" that will be sitting behind this one for pictures. I'm also entering this in our local fair this week. Coloring all that fondant brown was murder!! I use Wilton for cake dummies and it can be hard to knead!!
