Giant cupcake is 4 - 10" layers stacked, carved, and supported with dowel rods. Cupcake "paper" is Buttercream Icing piped with a rose tip (large end facing out). Top is iced with large icer tip. A dab of icing is under each small cupcake to keep them in place for transportation.
12 x 18 white sheet cake covered in Buttercream. Stars, circles, and letters are cut out of White Chocolate Candy Clay. This was for my daughter's 8th Birthday. Inspiration for this design is from Suzycakes.
There are 3 FBCT's on top of this 11x18 sheetcake. One is a full-top FBCT which contains the US Marine Corps emblem. The other FBCT's are the 2 ribbons.
Elmo and the green background are a FBCT. The rest is piped on.
The last time I did an "Over the Hill" cake I made the man out of gumpaste. This time I decided pipe it with icing: bad choice. The actual cake looked a lot better in person.

Castle is covered in buttercream. Items made with fondant are towers, sign, pebbles door, & bridge. Moat is a mixture of blue buttercream, drizzled with corn syrup, and swirled together.
Silhouette of Nobel made with RI applied directly to the cake (since my original wasn't dry enough and broke). The design on the sides represents the Grubb's Catalyst which won my husband's (2nd) cousin the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2005.

Two layers of strawberry cake baked in heart pans. The center of one heart is cut to make room for âchocolatesâ which are actually Cake Balls (of course). The heart is covered with Chocolate Clay. The âboxâ top was formed by melting Candy Melts and pouring into the heart cake pan to harden. It is supported by foamcore. The âbox-topâ edge and bow are made from Chocolate Clay.
Easter egg strawberry cake baked in Wilton football pan. The flowers are Royal Icing. The rest of the decorations and cake covering is made with White Chocolate Modeling Clay.

Bear was white cake w/ extender baked in Wilton's Cuddly Bear pan. He is decorated with buttercream icing and a 50/50 gumpaste fondant bow which was "glued" together with white chocolate. Bows are chocolate cake covered in BC icing. Bows are same as bear bow. (Critique Subgroup Member ~ all critiques welcome)

I carved this cake from the Wilton 3D Cruiser novelty pan. The gun is a straw covered in b/c. The rest of the icing is all b/c. This was for my son. I only had 45 minutes to throw this cake together (as you can tell). All critiques are welcome.
Cake was baked in Wilton's Nascar novelty pan. Icing is buttercream. Client wanted "40" on the car rather than "20" since it was the birthday man's 40th birthday.
