Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and fondant accents. Cake was baked in Wilton football pan.
Football (Mc Vs. Falcons)
All writing, numbers, lines, logos and white on football are RI. The rest is all BC.
3D Truck For Chad
The client wanted a replica of her son's groom's cake except to make it with flat tires (or worn out). I flattened the tires and put a crack in the front windsheild. I carved it from the Wilton 3D Cruiser pan. (Member of Critique Group. All critiques are welcome.)
Chocolate Cake For Lane
8" white cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Although the stringwork is not perfect, this was the first time I've ever been able to do a good job on it. I'm pretty excited about that. All critiques are welcome.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
6" & 8" square cakes decorated with buttercream icing. The client had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse topper to set on the top. I enjoyed doing research on that show and coming up with this design. Everything on it represents the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show.
Christmas Tree For Church
I made this with the Wilton Christmas Tree pan. All decorations are buttercream.
Sheet Cake For Kimberlyn
11 x 15 white sheet cake. Cornelli lace is RI and the rest is buttercream. I just realized when I downloaded this pic to my cpu that I forgot to put rosebuds by the bottom rose. (oops)
Christmas Tree For Hoop Fest
Wilton Christmas Tree Novelty Pan Tip 18 pullout for greenery Tip 18 for tree trunk Tip 5 for yellow dots and star Tip 9 for red dots
Batman Cream Cheese Fbct (Fcct)
12 x 18 strawberry sheet cake with cream cheese icing. I really did not think the frozen transfer would work with cream cheese icing after reading comments on CC but I thought I'd at least give it a try. I am so glad I did. I used "edencakes" crusting cream cheese icing in the CC recipes. I added about 2 T. powdered sugar per 1/2 cup of icing to stiffen it for the colors I used in the transfer and borders.
Mum Sheet Cake
Mums are RI. The rest is buttercream. I got the idea for the design from "ThanhThanh" although this is a far cry from her beautiful cakes.
Spiderman Sheet Cake
The Spiderman is a FBCT. After I applied the FBCT I added the web, words, and then borders.
12 x 18 white cake decorated with buttercream icing. I used a pattern press for the corner designs and piped them on with a #14 tip. They measure 2 1/2" from the outside edges. Thanks to "ellyrae" for her wonderful inspiration.
End Of Season Soccer Party
Soccer ball is made with the Wilton Sports Ball Pan. The bottom cake is a 2-layer 8" round cake. The stars are gumpaste attached to heavy gauge floral wire with melted white chocolate. Cakes are decorated with buttercream. My inspiration came from indigojods here on CC.
Presents For Bryce
Bottom cake is chocolate covered in Chocolate Modeling Clay. Top cake is white covered in White Chocolate Modeling Clay. The bow and ribbons are made from 50/50 White Chocolate Modeling Clay & Gumpaste. The cake colors are a near perfect match for the colors the Mom is painting the baby's room.
Ole Miss Crest
Chocolate cake covered in chocolate buttercream and ganache. Ole Miss crest is a FBCT. Unfortunately the sunlight affected the picture :o( . I hope the photographer got a better pic.
Blue / Brown Damask Wedding
The cake flavors are strawberry & white swirl. It is covered in White Chocolate Clay tinted blue using the colors (Delphinium Blue, Cornflower Blue, Sky Blue and Violet). The piping is RI. The bride had a monogram made for their wedding invitations and various other things. I made the Damask pattern on the cake to match their monogram. I was so pleased when the bride took a bite of the cake and gave it a "thumbs up" :o)
Orange & Blue Plaid
All buttercream. The sides weren't as hard as I expected but I need to figure out how to do the corners better.
Jeff Gordon In 3-D
I carved the 3-D cruiser pan as best as I could - LOL. Anyway, the windows, lettering and spoilers are RI. The rest is all BC.
This was a "thank you" gift from a lady who wanted to do something nice for her son's orthodontist and staff for a job well done on his teeth.
M & M Candy Cake
Top half is cake. Bottom half is Rice Krispy/popcorn treats. Cake is iced in buttercream. Arms, feet, and eyes are fondant. The rest is buttercream. I found out 2 hours before they needed the cake that they needed it 6 hours earlier than scheduled. That left me one hour to get it iced and decorated. It's a sloppy job but not too bad for the time I was given. The flavors were 1/2 chocolate & 1/2 strawberry.
Ice Cream Sundae
Okay, it's not really an ice cream sundae but the Birthday girl wanted a simple cake with a cupcake on top topped with a strawberry. Her Mom has ice cream candles to put on the cake so I thought this would be a neat design for the occasion. (I went overboard on the sprinkles - LOL) The strawberry is gumpaste.
