Helena Waiting
This is my first figure using the directions I got from Aine2's bride and groom class. I was wanting to see if I could still make a figure after not having done it for a couple of months. This is my result, even though it was for my own keeping. All items are made from fondant with tylose added. The mirror is made by using foil as the backing. The compact and brush are dusted with sunlit cactusand cantaloupe LDs. The table and mirror are dusted with sunlit cactus LD. Figurine and flowers are dusted with super pearl LD. Floor is made from fondant. I used a veining tool to make the woodgrain marks. I mixed yellow and brown gel colors with water to get the coloring. TFL!!!!

Amy
This is the wedding cake I made for this weekend. It was a three tier cake (6, 8 and 10 inch). The top and bottom tier are dummies while the middle tier is red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The bride provided me with the ribbon and the stand. The flowers are just some I was making to try out orchids on my own-she was adding different flowers of her own on site. She was an absolutely wonderful bride. But I think I did undercharge! Oh well, it was a live and learn moment. I will post a pic with her flowers on it when she gets one to me! TFL!!!

Gumpaste Flowers Class With Jennifer Dontz Kansas City, Mo Sept 2009
This is the cake dummy and flowers that I meade at a class by the amazing Jennifer Dontz this month. We made every single flower and leaf that you see here. They are the hibiscus, agapanthus, and lily of the valley flowers. The leaves are ivy, hydrangea and eucalyptus. We had an amazing time! Jennifer is such a generous, thoughtful, caring and giving teacher and person. I would encourage anyone who gets the chance to take any of her classes to do so. I felt like I could do anything afterward, even if I did have a mini meltdown on myself-lol! TFL!!!

The Lisa
This is a cake that I got to make for a wonderful friend's birthday! The cake is WASC with champagne flavored BC and fondant, with a raspberry flavored BC filling. Everything is edible except the shoe the flowers and the tag on the sign. All paint is done with Cantaloupe LD. Diamantes added for effect. I did have some trouble with the humidity making the fondant act up. But I had so much fun making it. It was truly a labor of love. The smile on her face was amazing!

Nicholas' Baptism Aug 2009
This is a WASC enhanced with creme bouquet cross cake. I used vanilla flavored fondant and BC. Drapes and inset circle are done with supper pearl LD. Wording is done with Nu Silver LD-sorry it looks so light. Took about 6 coatings to get it to stand out, but no pic of that! Thanks for looking!

Tyler's Xbox 360
Hi. This is the cake I made for my son's 13th birthday this week. I have to thank all of you for the marvelous ideas and info you gave me. It is a WASC with vanilla buttercream and cotton candy flavored fondant. The hand and controller are both RKT covered in fondant. The zombie hand is from a game my son loves, "Left 4 Dead", so I had to get it in somewhere on the cake. He was totally surprised when he saw it! So was the rest of my family! TFL!!!

My Version Of Hannah Montana Guitar
This cake was a nightmare! I had so much trouble with the carving on this one, especially the handle. I even had a template, but it just didn't want to work out the right way. It is a white cake with vanilla BC for the base and vanilla cake with cookies and cream for the handle. I wanted to use fondant, but the mother was adamant about using BC. I got the fondant on a couple of places. It didn't come out the way I envisioned it. I hope the birthday girl and her mom like it. Bad photo, too. TFL!

Mom's Turning 60!
This is a cake I started at 7 this morning. It is now11:50. It is for my mom who is turning 60 today. I was supposed to make another design, but got sidetracked with my sisters so late yesterday that this is what I came up with. I hope that she likes it. It is a total surprise to her, anyway. It is a strawberry cake with vanilla filling and chocolate fondant. TFL!!!

Rylee's 1St Birthday
This was a fun cake for me to make. The cakes are based on the invitation the mother gave me. She wanted a little bit of princess stuff added onto it, therefore the crown. Some pieces have pearl dust. It is 6" strawberry cake w/ cotton candy bc, 8"chocolate cake with chocolate bc, and a 10" yellow cake with almond bc. I know that I way undercharged for this cake. But the prices here are so low that I can barely beat out Walmart and the comissary. But next time, I am sticking to my guns! TFL!!!

1St Gumpaste Calla Lillies
Well, after watching tonedna's tutorial about a million times, I finally worked up the nerve to make a few of these up. I have to thank Ms Edna for her fabulous teaching skills!!! Because of her I have the confidence to make these more often. I lived in fear that I would be terrible at them. But now I feel like I can do anything!! And Edna is right, it is only sugar so why stress yourself out about it. Now I just have to get my hubby to give in so that I can buy more dusts to make more of these!!! TFL!!!

Yankees Ballcap
Well, I finally made one of the infamous ballcaps!! I was so stressed trying to get this right, but I think it turned out okay. I do need more practice with the fondant, though. I had a small tear at the bottom in back so that is where I put the little MLB patch. I did this for my hubby and brother-in-law since they are both Yankees nuts!!!! TFL!!!

Second Attempt
Okay, this was the 2nd attempt at a different shaped purse cake.(Sorry the pic is blurry) But my son came home and said it reminded him of a jewelry box, so maybe I will call it that. I forgot the straps because I was running late for an appt. But it was an okay try for me. I am going to have to practice on this type of cake alot more before I try to use it for a customer. Nobody is eating these except family, so I am not too embarrassed. TFL!!!

First Try At Purse Cake
Okay, here is my first try at a purse cake. I was wanting to do one for so long. I think it came out okay. But I could obviously do better. I was wanting to try it to see how difficult it might be. It does take some thinking about color scheme shape, etc-more than I thought. Bu I really needed to expand my range of cakes. Let me know what you think, but don't be too hard on me!!! TFL!!

Final Cake For Gumpaste Fondant Class.
Okay. This cake here gave me a doozy. I know that it is simple and plain, but I was trying to follow the book from the class. Anyway, after I had gotten as much done before class as allowed, I left the cake sitting on my island trying to find a cover for it because the cake board was too large for the server lid. My wonderful husband, in his brillance, managed to slam the lid on smashing through the fondant. This is what it looked like after I covered the damage in class. I think it is okay. TFL!!!
