Baby shower favors with a transportation theme.
Designed by the birthday girl after browsing Cake Central for awhile. She chose the various layers of animal prints and colors. Found a notepad made out of the CD (used as the cover and backer) on clearance at the Disney store, so I just took the spiral binding off and used it as a topper. Very busy cake with lots of sparkle... perfect for an 8 year old!
This was my first castle cake and it was so much fun. With some extra time, i would have loved to make more windows, maybe some stained glass, some window-boxes, etc. Lots of ideas but now enough time!
Made a little padded hanger to put the nightie on, complete with pearl 'stops' to keep the straps from sliding off.
Okay - did I mention I get bored with the orders where everything has to look alike? 190 of the same thing.... over and over and over again! LOL

Made to match the party invitations. These were some bright cookies! Lots of fun making different times on them... some of them might not even be a correct time! Silver dragees in the middle.

Made these (and three others) for my children's teachers and school staff for the last day. Was tempted to make gumpaste letters that just said "DONE" and add to the cake! LOL Very easy to mass produce as all the cakes were dark chocolate fudge with ganache filling. Baked, torted, and frosted at the same time and then decorated assembly line. Funny though, they all turned out a bit different! (and my cuticles are still dyed hot pink!)
Made for a 7 year old's Magic Party! Had to do the top hat in chocolate bnecause I can't stand to see people walk around with black teeth! YUCK!
Mom used the same brand of invites again this year. This little girl is so cute but so darn hard to reproduce! My first interpretation looked like Flat Stanley! LOL Ended up using plan 'B' but boy my gumpaste figures need some serious work. This was a first for me.
Invite had a cute little stork on it - went with this adorable cake topper that my local cake supply store had. Lucky me because my own stork didn't fare too well, so my backup became my plan "A" after all!

Donated 122 of these for Teacher Appreciation Week. I STILL have luster dust 'dust' all over my kitchen! LOL
For Duke graduates' dinner party. All the diploma cutters were too small to fit in the easels for place cards, so I had to make a special one. Ended up being way too big and cookies were very fragile. Looked great in the easels, though!
These were 5 x 7" cookies that were used as centerpieces for a graduation dinner celebrating some Duke grads. The mother has been trying to get me to make some cookies like the chapel on campus for two years now... this was the best I could do... especially since they had to be shipped with all the diploma place marker cookies!
Customer asked for cookies to match the invite (which I never saw!). She said it was cheetah print with hot pink... here is my take on that theme! I gave her half trendy and half traditional designs just in case I wasn't feeling her vision! LOL
Made to celebrate the school's first completed year. PTA prez had party at her house to thank all of the PTA members. Top layer white chocolate with raspberries and bottom was dark chocolate fudge with orange flavored ganache.
For 13 year old's bowling party. Mom just gave me her favorite colors and said have fun! I made something I would have wanted when I was 13 (and there were just sheet cakes!)

Got a request to make another pirate ship cake like my nephews... I swore I'd never make that one again... we see where that got me! I made a few modifications and due to budget, I did not individually plank the sides of this ship.
Little girl wanted a super girl party but wanted the boys to have superman. Mom asked for this combo. I added lots of glitter to make it extra girly for her - she was turning 4! When she saw it, I heard her tell her mom that I must be magical!
