Okay, so I used a little black, but its fondant and you can peel it off before you eat it if you don't want black teeth! LOL Inspired by a piece of stationery with paisley design. This was a gift to a friend, but I don't think I could actually make one like this and sell it for the amount of labor that went into it... lots of hours piping! If Vera Bradley made her bags in this pattern, I would buy every single style & size!

I was just glad I didn't have to make a fondant figure in the tub. I ended up having some awful flu-bug when this order was due... made me think hard about a back-up plan in case I was ever unable to finish an order due to illness. Birthday girl was laughing when I told her to eat the boobie bubbles last so Barbie wasn't indecent until the end of the party! (I think Dad secretly wanted those bubbles!)
Birthday girl found some cute black & white decorated candles at the grocery store and asked me to make a cake that would go with them... hmmmm.... Thankfully she liked my preppie idea.

This hat was fun to do, however once the gumpaste 'brim' had dried, it was a little too large and I had to 'make it work', so to speak. I don't think anyone else noticed it though. (Whew!)
My nephew was allowed to ask an adult for help in his pack's cake decorating contest - he immediately told his daddy that he selected Aunt Lisa! We had a lot of fun making this little guy, although his beak appeared to be a bit heavy by the next morning. Had to do some fancy skewering to fix him up! Hopefully you can see the works of a 6 year old!
My son took one look at this cake and said he liked the elphant in the tub??? Then I realized that claw-foot tubs were way before his time, and I did make them a little 'chubby' to be more whimsical looking! Couldn't help but laugh out loud when he showed me the elephant's trunk - aka the faucet!
Teacher at school loves chocolate mint wafer candies (Andes) and Mint Milky Way candy bars, so this was my take on a Chocolate Mint cake. It was only 7" rounds, but was about 9" tall!
Figure modeled to match the birthday girl, pony-tail and all! Guests picked every last rock off of left-over cake! Wanted to use my chocolate candy rocks, but the mom said the gym used the bright colored plastic 'blobs' instead, so we went with that - definitely more colorful!
Twins had a bowling party this year - their mom went easy on me; considering last year's Star Wars theme. No more R2D2 and Yoda for me!

Had fifteen 8 and 9 year old boys spend the night in tents at his birthday party. Forgot how much little boys like fire... they were roasting grapes and baby carrots and anything else that wasn't nailed down! Woke up the next morning to find the 'camper's' fondant feet (peeking out of the tent) in the campfire with marshmallows stuck on the toes! Boys WILL be boys!
Each figure modeled after my nieces and nephew... including the surprised look on the cannonballer's face at the shark fin! Tried to make the deep end a little darker, but don't think it worked too well. Lots of adorable ideas taken from various cakes posted on CC. Sooooo very many to choose from - it was hard narrowing it down. My 6 year old cut all the flagstone work.
Brookie wanted a panda themed pajama party, so we made a panda sitting on a mattress. Not my best work, but she loved it. She sees all my creations and still thinks her cake was the best one I've ever made!
Obviously the groom was a real fan of this video system! Mother of the groom even borrowed one from another family member instead of bringing me the groom's game as a sample! He was that addicted to it and she was afraid he would need it to 'de-stress' before the wedding! LOL

Mom brought me a drawing to follow for Janelle's big day. She had never heard of a smash cake before, so I threw in a matching one for her. Crowns made of gumpaste/fondant mix, buttercream and fondant accents.
Cake designed by the birthday girl, right down to the colors and where she wanted the stars and bows placed! Talk about BRIGHT!!! This one was a lot of fun to make!
Invite was in green and brown with white polka dots.... not much to go on, so we just went with using the same colors.
This time the mom came over with a hand-drawn cake design and wanted me to match it. Had to change rounds to ovals to make more room for the Bible topper/ First time using edible copy....
