This was inspired by CareyI's Mickey Mouse cake! Mickey is decorated all in BC. Marshmallow fondant Thomas and Lightning McQueen. Mickey's face is 10" round, ears are 6" rounds. TFL!
Wedding Cake And Mini Cakes
Made 100 mini cakes to go with this wedding cake! Took a LONG time! The bride packaged the mini cakes in clear boxes with a purple ribbon around them, as wedding favours.
4 Tier Wedding
Bride's colours were navy and hot pink. Outfits of wedding couple were bride's request! And no, they didn't actually dress like that for the wedding (but I think they wanted to - they're living vicariously through their fondant images! LOL). 14", 12", 10" (dummy), and 8". Chocolate Peanut Butter is my new fave cake flavour!
60Th Birthday Cake
?1950's themed 60th birthday cake. Buttercream with fondant details. This was a 2 layer, 12 X 18 cake. Very time consuming - but worth it! :)
Jessie - Toy Story Cake
BC with fondant cow print spots, and fondant Jessie. I really had fun making her!
Wedding Vow Renewal/10Th Anniversary Cake
Wedding Vow Renewal cake for a good friend. They didn't have a big church wedding the first time, so they decided to make it happen for their 10th anniversary! Fondant covered, with RI scrolls, fondant roses, and topper to look like the happy couple.
Preschool Grad Cake - School Bus
This was for my preschool graduation last week! I did this design a couple of years ago, and it was such a hit I decided to do it again - the kids love to see their faces on there! Cake is 2 12 X 18's, halved lengthwise, stacked and carved. BC with MMF details. Pictures are not edible - the kids peeled their pics off and took them home!
BC with fondant flowers, nail polish and lipstick. Only thing not edible is the handle. Nail polish and lipstick were brushed with luster dust.
Under The Ocean Theme
BC with fondant details. Sand is a combo of brown sugar and graham cracker crumbs.
Scaredy Squirrel, from the kids' book series. Used the frozen buttercream transfer technique. Which, I might add, is not recommended on a high humidity day! After coming out of the freezer and hitting this hot humid air, poor Scaredy was sweating like crazy!
Sidney Crosby/stanley Cup Cake
BC with fondant Sidney and Stanley Cup. Logo on jersey is the only thing that isn't edible!
This is my version of the 3-D Sponge Bob. There are so many of these cakes online, I have know idea who came up with the design, so sorry I can't give credit to the original decorator! SB is 6 layers (4 " X 9 "), lots of boards and dowels to keep him upright! BC with fondant details. Sand is graham cracker crumbs/brown sugar. Thanks for looking!
Bug Lady's Wedding Cake :)
This was a near disaster! Narrowly avoided a car accident with the cake in the back of the van. Hitting the brakes caused the cake to slide to the back of the cake board and slam into the box. Luckily - it was the back of the cake.....I managed to repair as much damage as I could.....Flowers and leaves are chocolate clay/molding chocolate - first time using it and loved the stuff! Topper is chocolate - it's supposed to be a combination of a heart and a bug, because the bride is an entomologist! :)
I made this for a bake sale my daughter's class was having. Used the stand-up bear pan. Wish I'd gotten a picture of his ringed tail!
I couldn't decide on a design for this one, so I made 3 different cakes! Used spring/Easter colours, and cornelli lace, basketweave, and swiss dots. Flowers and leaves are fondant.
40Th Birthday Cake
This was for a big bash for 3 gals turning 40! The guests signed the cake with Wilton Food Writers. It was a hit! :)
60Th Birthday Cake
Dainty little fondant flowers, cake sparkles and cornelli lace - my favourite kind of cake to do! Simple, elegant, and pretty!
