I loved how this one turned out! Cakes are covered in fondant, turret roofs are chocolate, tiara is royal icing with silver dragees. Fairies were provided by the mom. For a first birthday. :)

Ice cream cones filled with cake, BC flames. To go with an Olympic rings cake. Totally stole this idea from smileyface, hope she doesn't mind!! :)

Bride's colours are chocolate brown and dark teal. I was asked for a "classy bridal with a hint of beach", so this is what I came up with. Shells etc. are chocolate, dusted with pearl luster dust. I'm picturing this as a 3-tier wedding cake.... :)
Lots of fun making this! Tools, hardhat, and cigar are MMF. "The Big 60" are candles given to me by the customer. TFL!
This one was a cake disaster story! My dog ATE the first one! This was the do-over. I had to call the friend and ask for more time. :( I will NEVER forget to push the kitchen chairs in again (he's just a little guy, he actually jumped on a chair and got right up on the table - bad , bad doggie!). And since it was CHOCOLATE cake, I was cleaning it up for 2 days afterward, if you know what I mean (I ALMOST felt sorry for the dog).

These were inspired by BJ. The birthday girl's actual birthday is in the winter - but she really wanted to have a pool party so she waited for 6 months (hence the "10 1/2"). And, of course, it POURED rain.... :( Sand is graham cracker crumbs. Chocolate shells are brushed with luster dust.
This was for my sister's birthday. She found a similar picture in an older Wilton yearbook, and requested it. Kitties were made with the mini wonder mold pan. All BC except for MMF and RI flowers. Whiskers are wire. TFL!
This was inspired by a cake I found on the website cakesbythepound.com . Her cakes are really incredible - my attempt doesn't even compare! I made this for my daughter's friend. BC with MMF details. Trees are ice cream cones (cut to size) covered in BC. Pool water is blue BC with a thin layer of piping on top.
12 X 18" cake. Skin is BC. Bikini is MMF, used my imprint mat for the pattern. Gold dragees for piercing. Used the mini wonder mold pan for you-know-whats :) It's pretty sad when you're jealous of a cake's flat stomach...... LOL. Message is supposed to look like a tattoo. Thanks for looking.
I really enjoyed making this one! Caterpillar was made with mini wonder mold pan. Bugs are chocolate - used the templates from the book "Hello, Cupcake!" by Alan Richardson and Karen Tack (which is the best cupcake book EVER!). Antennae are toothpicks with MMF balls, leaves are MMF, everything else is BC. Thanks for looking.
Request was for "white on white". Flowers and leaves are MMF, clear cake sprinkles for some sparkle, swiss dots. TFL!

Tiara is royal icing, dusted with silver sparkle dust (not sure if you can see that in pic), and I added some silver dragees. Flowers and doors are fondant, top of turrets are chocolate-covered ice cream cones, everything else is BC. Cake sprinkles on top surfaces for extra sparkle. TFL!

I'm not familiar with this TV show, but apparently it's a hit with the little ones! Cake was inspired by a picture of a cake the mom found online. I tried finding it so I could give the decorator credit, but I was unable to find it - but thank you, whoever you are! :) "Edible" image on top - couldn't get the backing off so I just cut around it and laid it on there :( Characters and trees are MMF. TFL!
This was a near disaster. I was very tired, and when I flipped my FBCT onto the cake I put it the WRONG way, with the picture facing down!! :( How many of these have I done??!!! Had to scrape it off, re-do the top of the cake, re-do the FBCT.....aaarrrgghhhh!! I didn't realize kids knew about smurfs these days (thought they were lost in the 80's!), but apparently they're still on TV!
This is for the preschool where I am a teacher. Bottom half of grad cap was baked in half of the Wilton Sports ball pan, and covered with MMF. Top of cap is cardboard covered in MMF. All 35 kids have their names on the stars around the sides (at school on their "special day" they get to wear a star necklace with their name on). Used a mold for MMF butterflies. Added butterflies anc caterpillar because we just recently took a field trip to the butterfly conservatory. Tassel is also MMF. TFL!
I finally bought a fondant imprint mat - and I love it! SO easy to use! These are sugar cookies, with MMF. Made 4 dozen of them for the bake sale at my children's school tomorrow. Can't wait to use my mat on a whole cake! :) Thanks for looking.
