Customer didn't want lots of pink ("just a little"); and mentioned purple and lime green; so this is what I came up with. Initials and clothespins on sides made with mold/candy melts)
Yes, my deer sculpting needs some practice! Should have given myself more time on this one. Buttercream 10" and 6" with sculpted fondant deer/hunter/gun. Tent is carved cake with fondant over it.
For a guy in the army who is home. Painted the ribbon/flag on white fondant with airbrush colors/lemon extract. Everything else buttercream. Could have done better on my writing.
This is a copy (somewhat) of a beautiful cake on this site and I am so sorry I do not know who to give credit to! I tried to find the photo but can't find it now! My ganache didn't turn out so smooth but it tastes great.

I really loved a cake that cakesbyallison did with animals in the corners so that was my inspiration. I actually had a napkin with these animals on it and although I made my own version of the animals I tried to coordinate colors. I hope the customer will be okay with that! This cake was inspired by a piece of fabric on sale on ebay. The girl was cut out of white fondant and painted. Cake iced in buttercream with fondant flowers/leaves. Blue border sprayed with airbrush.
